Considered Both Products
Conga Composer
Chose Conga Composer
Conga Composer is highly versatile as this can be easily integrated with Salesforce and other Conga products. Other products either lack integration or lack user experience but Conga Composer has provided both along with great integration which reduces manual tasks which was …
Chose Conga Composer
Conga Composer was easier to use by far than PandaDoc and had more options than DocuSign for our particular org.
Chose Conga Composer
We have not used any other app however from the user's experience it seems Conga composer is best. And being a Conga partner and implementing the Conga solutions and supporting the existing customers and hearing their success stories it is clear that conga composer and other …
Chose Conga Composer
We have not been able to find an offering that allowed for the level of customization or could handle the complexity of the solutions we've built using Conga's products. We selected Conga originally as it was recommended at the time (2012) and there weren't any better …
Chose Conga Composer
I think Nintex is the primary competitor for Conga Composer, but I have not personally used it. I was not present for the decision to purchase Conga but I would recommend it in future document automation vendor selection processes because I have seen how well it works! We are …
Chose Conga Composer
Conga is more malleable to the documents that you are generating but does not offer the functionality of sending the document directly to the client (such as DocuSign does). Another product we looked into is called Mamba Merge (not found in the list of products above), where we …
Chose Conga Composer
They were very comparable, but Conga seamed to be a little bit more flexible with the document generation and look and feel. While PandaDoc was easier to integrate an e-sign component (it was free with PandaDoc, but not with Conga).
Chose Conga Composer
Conga Composer is a smart tool and it is fulfilling my all requirements. It integrated with other existing software that I was using already which makes it to manage information easily. It easily integrated with Salesforce in a proper way. The support staff is top-notch. They …
Chose Conga Composer
Salesforce has other apps that work with it that provide good alternatives to conga composer, such as Apsona document merge. Apsona provides a very cost effective and easy to use product that does as many letters as you want at half the cost. Both products are valuable to our …
Chose Conga Composer
Conga Collaborate has pricing that worked for our small team. The Salesforce integration is better suited for our needs with Conga.
Chose Conga Composer
It seems like a good product
Chose Conga Composer
Conga was always the standard when first evaluating, it has the track record over others and was most used and felt it would handle our needs.
Chose Conga Composer
They are all the same at the end. Online digital proposal and sign tool. Pulls from products from Salesforce. Opportunity is closed as "won" when the SOW is accepted. My only other experience with these types of tools is SFDC CPQ and it seems very similar. CPQ offered less …
Chose Conga Composer
I was not aware of any alternatives with the same features. Once we found Conga Composer has no reason to look elsewhere.
Chose Conga Composer
Adobe Sign is good for document creation, but is obviously far more limited in terms of what it can pull in terms of formatting and data. It is particularly janky when using Word documents and needs to use PDFs to get the maximum out of it.

Steelbrick is good for quotations as …
Chose Conga Composer
I did not evaluate any other software that competes with Conga Composer. This solution was brought to my attention by our Salesforce implementation consultant as an excellent program to accomplish multiple goals across our organization.
Chose Conga Composer
We used Microsoft Word- their mail merge option. We'd use reports to export the data we collected, created a Word template and did a mail merge from there. All that being said, yes this option is free, but the amount of time it takes was absolutely ridiculous over time. The …
Chose Conga Composer
The products are fairly similar. Conga is used more and is a market leader in the segment due to its ease of use and comprehensive feature set.
Drawloop has good Arabic support, some of our customers has requested this. Drawloop is slightly cheaper as well.
Chose Conga Composer
Drawloop has very similar functionality, but Conga's support team and extensive documentation were a big draw for us. Their AppExchange reviews are all positive, and there are hundreds of them.
Chose Conga Composer
We chose Conga due to the price point (cost for licenses). It was among the more affordable options but we did not have to sacrifice quality. In addition, the integration with Salesforce is key for us. We are able to connect student interactions and actions with our mailings. …
Chose Conga Composer
I was not part of this decision making process.
Chose Conga Composer
In my mind, Conga blows away all the competition. The templates are extremely versatile and don't require any additional software (other than MS Office) in order to design. The support that Conga provides is world class and I never had a negative experience with them; all cases …

We used to manually process information which are available in Salesforce to another system, right now we just click a button and these information is available in another system. This process eliminate human error and provide accurate information in our financial reporting. This process helps our accounting department provide efficiency and accuracy on providing data.

  • It is positive that Conga integrates with and is operated within SFDC

Cons
Conga
  • It is challenging to go from solutions to templates and then to each account record to generate - is there a way to generate for all?
  • the search for reports is unwieldy - can there be a "recents" to cut down on what reports we are searching through? or a way to view folders.
  • i have tried saving time by having conga composer up on several records and you can't generate records. again, if there is a way to generate for all?

Though I love how easily Conga Composer ties into Salesforce and its given analytics, it takes a lot of data entry to get up and running. I don't love that sometimes queries can take a long time to pull. I like keeping our marketing templates consistent via templates in the system. Pulling multiple objects into one report is fantastic too.

Usability
Conga
It's a fairly simple tool to integrate into your current business structure. When we've had issues, we were able to resolve them extremely quickly. The users click a button and it can bring in all the quote lines, and our credit application seamlessly into our tool. I'd definitely recommend it to other colleagues

It's been hit and miss depending on the issue. We use javascript to generate the urls which has confused many techs even though it generates a clean url - they are overwhelmed by the concept of code and can't understand that the url is all that matters.

It was painful internally to build out all of the templates, but the actual implementation of the product was okay.

Conga
  • Without Conga Composer we wouldn't be able to auto generate documents in Salesforce, the extra customisation is needed.
  • The ROI is obvious when it comes to having customised documents
  • As long as the data is available in Salesforce, it's available in Conga, and so we have no issues with it's efficiency
