ControlNow (Discontinued)

Its middle of the road and should suit most applications well

Pros

ControlNow (Discontinued)

  • An instant scan of file level downloads so that introduction of a variant file is limited before the scan engine clears it.
  • Dashboard use of the agents available allows for near real-time review and action without directed access to the station.
John Stewart | TrustRadius Reviewer

REVE Antivirus

  • Strengths: Quick scan
  • Parental control
  • Mobile app notification
  • Weakness: Limited free trial

Cons

ControlNow (Discontinued)

  • Dashboard refresh when you have over 100 end agents can be lagging at times
  • The agent install process has potential to hang without alert or warning unless your paying attention through the complete install
  • The silent install process can be problematic when dealing with large-scale networks with varied OS models
John Stewart | TrustRadius Reviewer

REVE Antivirus

  • Improvement in the UI would be more helpful
  • $19 for the base package is a little high, though you get an antivirus for 2 PCs. A reduction in price would be more preferable.

Alternatives Considered

ControlNow (Discontinued)

ControlNow more nimble and less impactful on the local PC

REVE Antivirus

I used Norton in the past. Norton does not need any introduction as it is number 1 when it comes to cyber security. However, I had heard about REVE Antivirus from a friend so I decided to use it and found it great! Additionally, I got Reve Antivirus for 2 PCs for $19 which boils down to 9.50 USD for each PC, whereas Norton is selling for 11.50 USD for 1 PC.
