It seems to me that Cornerstone OnDemand is suited for large bureaucracies that have not been exposed to current technology, so they don't know how many features are lacking or how far behind they are with their user interface. I'm not sure I can add more, but [I feel like] Cornerstone OnDemand [is] a system that has been cobbled together badly, so every single change requires an abundance of steps and "touches" to different parts of the system. I wish you allowed me to rate them "0".

This is best suited for an organization which wants to create a good learning content or user guide where the users can quickly go through and do self learning. It is also suited for organization which needs to have its employees be compliant as per ISO Standards so they need to carry out regulatory certification examination.

  • Has lots of capabilities to track learning plans. One can set up a learning plan and track progress towards it.
  • Coursework can vary by plan so it can cover technical work like skilled trades as well as business training courses.
  • Single sign on was advertised so a user only needed to log into Infor once.

  • Customization. Editing the performance review questions was limited and confusing.
  • Saving work. Dozens of employees would type directly into the performance review question boxes only for the system to refresh and not save their work. This is because the system logs you out after a short time on the website.

  • There are several parts of the system that you can customize according to your needs. However when you need a new feature request, the approval/support process is quite complex
  • Support for more global languages that customers request
  • World wide support/sales structure. Their response time is usually very fast (less than 24 hours) but sometimes is good to have someone in the same timezone to talk (like in Asia for example)

As long as pricing stays reasonable, we will likely stay with Cornerstone for at least one more contract renewal. It would be a large task to migrate all of our content to a new system. However, the LMS landscape is diversifying with new startups that are showing some real innovation.

I am giving 8 instead of 10 because we need to implement some new features in the system and this is a long process to accomplish. If it was easier and shorter, I would give a 10.Also, lately we are facing some technical issues which impacted some users experience, but Certpoint is working hard to catch up on this.

The system is huge so, even after using it as an administrator for a few years, I still find there are lots of pieces and things I do not know. Some of the more everyday tasks have cumbersome user interfaces that you become accustomed to but would be greatly helped by a redesign. The availability of assistance articles and the new knowledge bank help greatly with usability as you have a quick place you can go to for help with figuring out how to do various tasks.

Pages do not load quickly. Often times any action or selection of a box, drop down, check, pretty much ANY Javascript interaction causes the whole entire page to load/reload/start doing something in the background. This makes a nightmare for having to mass edit courses or upload ILT sessions. It's the one of the archaic web designs they use that really bugs me as an admin and makes working in the portal at times intolerable and insufferable

They are still working out issues with their support ticket system. I think we are now experienced enough that when we submit a ticket, there is not a quick easy answer and involves higher levels of support so it does tend to take a LONG time to get assistance. When there is a major issue, their communication is getting better but when you have a defect to report or a high level support it's going to be a while. They do have EXCELLENT online help, a very active online community where customers help customers and great user groups so there is other avenues of help

I wasn't involved in the selection at my current company. However, at my previous company, Absorb was a very close contender due to their modern and vibrant portal features, but we decided to stick with Cornerstone because of ease of configuration for our compliance training program and security permissions/constraints

Infor Learning Management was selected because the organization owned other Lawson/Infor products and we were concerned about the integration. Ease of integration was a primary selection criteria. The price was also better given the products we already owned.
