Cornerstone is the #1 Learning Management System for a reason. The Learning Management and Performance Management tools are amazing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a talent platform. They have room to grow in the recruiting space. I believe that the new tools on the roadmap look promising, however, we ended up removing this tool from our contract and going with another vendor. Cornerstone is not nearly as experienced in the talent acquisition space as it is in talent management.

If your organization has needs or requirements that it seems cannot be met by the industry leaders in CRM, I would urge you to talk to Sugar Sell (SugarCRM). They bent over backwards to work with different groups of people within our company to prove to them how committed they were to making the product work for us. It seamlessly integrates with our email and other applications we use frequently. And they helped us configure detailed reporting for our very complex sales territories and organizational structure.If you are looking for a very basic CRM tool that doesn't require much configuration, Sugar will still work for you, but you certainly have other options.

I will, however, recommend looking into other options once our needs increase and there is additional budget for some bigger named and more robust platform options. There's a learning curve associated with Sugar. Right away, it's not as easy as an out-of-the-box CRM. Once you learn how to use Sugar, the system fits what your needs are. With any other CRM, you'd be trying to figure out how your company can best fit the CRM. You don't want to change your business cycle for your CRM, the CRM should fit your business cycle.

Pages do not load quickly. Often times any action or selection of a box, drop down, check, pretty much ANY Javascript interaction causes the whole entire page to load/reload/start doing something in the background. This makes a nightmare for having to mass edit courses or upload ILT sessions. It's the one of the archaic web designs they use that really bugs me as an admin and makes working in the portal at times intolerable and insufferable

They are still working out issues with their support ticket system. I think we are now experienced enough that when we submit a ticket, there is not a quick easy answer and involves higher levels of support so it does tend to take a LONG time to get assistance. When there is a major issue, their communication is getting better but when you have a defect to report or a high level support it's going to be a while. They do have EXCELLENT online help, a very active online community where customers help customers and great user groups so there is other avenues of help

There is lots of documentation available, but sometimes, it takes a little time to find the piece that pertains to your system. The SugarCRM software has changed a lot over the years and documentation for all of the versions is still available on the web.

Cornerstone OnDemand is lightyears ahead of HealthStream. HealthStream's system is archaic and does not have any features besides basic compliance training. HealthStream is not visually appealing and users simply choose to log in and complete only what has been assigned to them. Cornerstone's catalog is so much more user friendly and inviting.

GoldMine was an archaic platform. Adding custom fields was difficult. Reporting was horrible. Sugar CRM blows it out of the water. It's also easier to use and navigate. Having all of the data available from any browser is also a tremendous advantage compared to our private installation of GoldMine which required their software and a VPN connection.
