If you have a very small database of people, then probably the whole integration isn't justified. If you have a small business and don't plan to scale much, don't do it. It will be expensive for what you can get elsewhere (Mailchimp).If you want a scalable and powerful platform, that will take some time to pay off, and you can wait, then do it. Once you get integrated and start sending events and attributes, the things you can do are almost limitless.

SharpSpring

For a small sales organization[,] SharpSpring has been terrific. It's very easy to get up to speed, there aren't a whole lot of bells and whistles, and it's really not possible to break something. I've used other CRM's that are more robust and clunky; there are a ton of customizable fields, and it takes a while to enter an opportunity and move it through the sales process. With SharpSpring, I'm sure it can be customized, but the way we have it set up it's really [easy] to move an opportunity through the process. For a larger sales organization that needs additional reporting features and customization, I'm not positive if SharpSpring would be a fit as I'm not aware of some of [its] features, but I would definitely give it a look.

SharpSpring

  • SharpSpring is a great platform for email marketing. We use it to organize our content, market to each of our segment lists, and then analyze campaigns.
  • SharpSpring is effective for campaign tracking. We use it to find where leads come from and [...] how to effectively manage each of our segment-focused campaigns.
  • The "Life of a Lead" is an excellent feature within SharpSpring. This highly visual tool allows us to view detailed activity by each of our leads - from emails they open to what web pages they visit.

  • I may be missing it in the UI, but a place to see the list of emails who qualify for a certain email.
  • One easy to view chart of all our automated/lifecycle emails to see what a given user would see over their customer journey. (This is really just a feature request/idea - the product itself is really awesome.)

  • Sometimes in the email or landing page builder, the text formatting option disappears, so I've learned how to edit inside the HTML code. Inconvenience has led to a new skill, but it's still frustrating.
  • I would like to see more customizable options for RSS emails.
  • I'd like to have the ability to copy sections of an email or landing page for use in another layout, within the builder. I know this can be done via HTML, but I'm not that knowledgeable.

This rating is coming from an administrative perspective. With so many features, workflows, dashboards, and more, there is certainly a lot going on, and even the most savvy software user can get a little overwhelmed when trying to decide how to best implement and utilize the platform to its full potential. That being said, the SharpSpring platform is well-implemented and well-organized, with most solutions being fairly intuitive, once you have a grasp of the software. It is fairly easy to learn, but difficult to master. Just like any powerful platform, however, the complexity is worth it, and once you are comfortable navigating and problem solving within SharpSpring, it becomes a great marketing and sales tool which can do virtually anything you need it to.

The support is great which really helps overcome challenges if you become stuck and the training videos are great too. Same-day replies are great and I even got some help with some CSS code on the chat. Not many organizations would do this or even respond.

Overall I would say to be patient and bring everyone who will be touching the platform to the onboarding sessions. The Virtual Classroom lets you onboard as quickly or slowly as you want. Sales, marketing, design, account management, get 'em all in on it. For the most part, they will be happy to use this platform. I recommend getting as many people as possible to see the SharpSpring demo.

Customer.io was really the first pure, full-featured drip email program on the market and as far as I know, it's still the simplest and best overall for that specific function. SendGrid has also added drip campaign features, but I would seriously evaluate Customer.io against any other drip email provider because they really have all the key elements you need to make it work.

SharpSpring

SharpSpring has by far the best features for the money. Having used several platforms costing significantly more money, I will go with SharpSpring every day of the week and twice on Sunday. We use Salesforce and I would still go with SharpSpring over Pardot for cross-platform use. HubSpot is a nice platform but focuses more on marketing tactic training than useful tools in my opinion.
