DDI System Inform

Unless you want to use every aspect of DDI for your company, I would not recommend their program. We have been unable to integrate their system with outside systems and even our website without having to pay for a "work around". If you do consider using other aspects of their offerings, make sure to get a trial of things like their CRM capabilities, as I have found them to be quite outdated in comparison to other programs

E2 Shop System

E2 is great at getting you information via reports and you can drill down to specific details. This has helped us calculate hours, costs and track non-conformances to allow for improvements.The scheduling module is complicated and Shoptech does not offer much in the way of virtual training on implementation. We are paying for onsite training and implementation. All other aspects are pretty straight forward.

E2 Shop System

  • Allowed us to streamline production process by printing a job traveler with manufacturing steps for each job. Previously, we used a punch clock to track time and did not isolate what steps were needed to do each job. This allows us to calculate costs much better. The ROI on calculated costs is high.
  • E2 can track non-conformances. By tracking time to fix manufacturing defects, we can focus our attention on corrective actions by priority. This will reduce common failures and increase our profitability. This ROI is very high as well.
