The features Kareo marketing offers are great, however, they need to be worked on to make sure they are functioning correctly. It should not take over 3 months of working on the issue to still not have an answer or solution.

Meditech
Meditech is well-suited to small, independent hospitals requiring a flexible, mostly full-featured EHR with good support. The Expanse upgrade was a significant step forward, and brought the system into the modern world of touch devices while reducing clinician documentation burden.

Cons
Tebra Technologies, Inc (Kareo + PatientPop)
  • There are currently some issues with the survey feature that we have not been able to open, view, or publish the survey. This has been going on for 3 months and there has been no resolution.
  • It would be nice to be able to filter who is receiving a survey so patients do not get them every time they have a visit.

Meditech
  • Poor reporting
  • Difficult to view grid data, such as complete medication history
  • A lot of interfacing with its own product due to code differences

Support Rating
Tebra Technologies, Inc (Kareo + PatientPop)
Other than speaking with someone about the issues we have had, I don't believe that anyone is actually working on a fix for our problem. If I can not open, view, and publish surveys when we receive them then part of the software is not working. They don't mind charging me every month for a service that is not functioning correctly.

Alternatives Considered
Tebra Technologies, Inc (Kareo + PatientPop)
We were very satisfied with Demand Force but switched to Kareo because of the price. and it put all of our platforms with one company. I would say Demand Force was a better product, however, for the price, Kareo is a great option if the engineers could work the bugs out.
