I believe the Dovetail Suite was suitable for what my organization used it for in our HR Department, data collection and case tracking for over 1000 employees. The software was well suited for this and provided us with multiple ways of reading and managing the data for reporting, EEOC claims, evidence of liability, etc. I believe Dovetail would be less appropriate for an all around Human Resources Management System. This is more of a data tool

It is good for incident and change management. It can also be used for problem management. Not very useful for auditing as the search functionality has to be improved for that. Quite easy and convenient to use. The ability to export reports also would be great for checking incidents and change trends.

  • Employee Self Service - All of our employees who used this service had nothing but great things to say about how user friendly it was and that the data was easy to read and search through.
  • Dovetail Customer Service - Our rep was instrumental in making sure we had all of the tools we needed for launch day. The system had no surprises and everything was explained in detail prior to going live.
  • Data Tracking - Keeping track of Employee Relations in a company of over 1000 employees can be a difficult task but Dovetail made this very easy. Adding cases and managing the progress of cases that are assigned to you is very user friendly.

  • I would like to see a recruiting piece added to the management system. This would make it easier to track employees within the Dovetail Suite who were new or were no longer with the company.
  • Dovetail may now be integrated with UltiPro but at the time it was not and this would have been a nice feature.

Dovetail was perfect for solving a major issue regarding our Employee Relations data tracking. No other software that was researched gave us the flexibility to track our data and manage our programs efficiently. Dovetail support was also better than any other software support I have worked with in the past. I would recommend their product to anyone

It is very similar to ServiceNow, but the options are much lighter and hence a bit easier to train employees on how to use it. It also integrates well with Jira, which is quite good. Some of the features are more straightforward, which makes it easier to handle a large volume of incidents.

  • Dovetail saved our HR Department time and money on Employee Relations questions and topics in that our Generalists were able to look up other cases that were similar in order to compare the issue the employee was having at the time. This allowed them to focus on other HR related questions throughout the day.
  • Our overall business objective was to save our HR Department time, while also giving the Generalists tools to tackle their daily objectives without hesitation.
