Sage Intacct is a cloud ERP system targeted at high-growth small and medium-sized businesses. Intacct includes applications for core financials and accounting, purchasing, order management, and financial reporting and business intelligence. It also integrates with 3rd party software like Salesforce.
E2 Shop System is great for backlog and shipment summaries, which our organization uses it for every single day. We also use E2 Shop System to enter new jobs and to keep track of them until they gets shipped. E2 Shop System is also very good at keeping track of partial shipments; it has the option to make partial packing slips so that we make them for exact amount of parts we shipping. E2 Shop System also helps us to create a router, which goes on the shop floor with each individual job that shows all that needs to be done with for that particular job. There is an improvement required when it comes to the production schedule. It does the job for now but it doesn't notify when we are running late on jobs--it needs to be done manually currently.
Sage Intacct is well suited for organizations looking for a cloud-based financial management solution that offers comprehensive functionality and scalability. It is particularly beneficial for businesses seeking to streamline their financial processes, gain real-time visibility into their financial performance, and generate insightful reports. Sage Intacct is a strong fit for industries such as professional services, nonprofit organizations, and software/SaaS companies. However, it may be less appropriate for very small businesses with simple financial needs or those with highly specialized industry requirements that necessitate industry-specific features not readily available in Sage Intacct's standard offering.
E2 is very user friendly. Once configured, users can start using without a long training time. We implemented in stages so they would not get overwhelmed.
E2 has a ton of reports available. We print time tracking on a daily basis to review hours and steps during manufacturing.
E2 allows you to customize reports using Crystal Reports to allow you to get the information you need out of the reports.
The drill down feature is phenomenal; I previously exported data to Excel and summarized using pivot tables and with the reporting capability and flexibility at my fingertips, I have to power to enable other users to drilldown and lookup status of payment requests and such independently.
Being able to restrict the use of general ledger accounts to specific entities. We have some GLs that are only used by one of our 40 entities, and would be great to hide them from everyone else, so they do not get used by mistake
I would like to be able to reclassify credit card transactions after payment is recorded like you can do with accounts payable
After we implemented, we discovered some duplicate GL names and would have liked to be able to combine those and the host into the one gl we ended up using.
Sage Intacct is continuously evolving and increasing it's functionalities. I am excited to attend conferences to learn what is in the roadmap for future releases. Additionally, using Sage Intacct allows me grow as a professional, I am really enjoy the knowledge that I have within the product to be able to share my experiences.
It is extremely easy to learn and use E2 Shop System. It provides everything a manufacturing company might be looking for, starting from entering a new PO to shipping parts. Routers that get created from E2 Shop System also help track parts on the shop floor and is accessible from every where. E2 Shop System also now has an app, which is great when it comes to scanning router steps directly from your phone.
The ease of use as a seasoned user is wonderful; however, new users struggle to adapt to the program efficiently. Better training videos--all in one location--would be beneficial. The use of a "sandbox" environment is a great tool for new employees or for the fiscal department to test certain journal entries or other transactions to verify accuracy of data.
There has only been one occurrence where Sage Intacct was not available to me, however I had already been working a number of hours trying to get a project completed. It honestly allowed me to step back and take a much needed break.
As fas as integration is concerned I don't feel this slows Sage Intacct down at all. However, sometimes I do feel it takes some larger reports more time to load due to all the detail. As well as, I "move very fast" in my motions so sometimes I double click on fuctions too quickly and the system seems to think that I have a duplicate request.
E2 Shop System has great customer service, which will provide you support in less than 24 hours. They even help you train on new and updated features if you're not aware. Overall, we are very happy with E2 Shop System.
Only a few times have we had to reach out to support, and every time we did, we received a relatively quick response and a solution was found fairly quickly. Only once was there an issue that took longer than a week to resolve, but it still did eventually get solved.
I have taken in person training classes at several of the annual Sage Intacct user conferences. It is very interactive and the trainers are very easy to follow and understand. They are great at getting everyone in the class involved. They also make sure everyone has learned to task before moving to a new one.
The free training is very minimal. For what we pay for the service, I would like more training. We end up training new users in-house because the provided free training is not nearly comprehensive enough. That being said, the training provided, for the material covered, was adequate and relevant for the given topics.
I would not use a thrid party administrator to implement your system, especially if you are going to be modifying the system at all. Use Intacct implementors as they will be able to better support you on any issues that come up after you go live.
E2 seemed to be more user friendly and offered more modules and integration into our quickbooks program. We were able to import all of our customers and vendors easily. This was the main selling point on E2.
I have utilized Infor Lawson in my career and have enjoyed both Lawson and Sage. I believe that Sage Intacct's simplicity and effectiveness are very useful and I am happy to use Sage on a daily basis. I like the way that the modules are setup in Lawson but it is very easy to understand the processes within Sage
