E2open Intelligent applications vs. SAP Integrated Business Planning

E2Open [Digital Transformation Solutions] is best used for customers/partners that do not have their own marketing automation software. It provides them a space to use already built in campaigns for use. A scenario where it may not be the best recommended tool is in a partner type scenario, such as ours. Currently, the tool does not have a fully customizable campaign for a partner to go in and build out a campaign from scratch. They can only take bits and pieces (depending on what is allowed) and make changes as they see fit.

Perfect product for Supply chain and sales operations planning but if it comes to diversity of systems in the organization then SAP IBP might not be the right choice. But yes for SAP eco-system because it has native integration with SAP S4HANA and SAC to provide Supply Chain visibility across the organization.

• The access is quite limited; it is only based on the cloud, which is fine because we know that the storage is wide and secure. However, it is not versatile, our work needs more flexibility of access from any device, and this is not a solution.
• It took us time to get the hang of the platform and correctly understand the use of each function; better training would have made things easier for us at the time.

The two separate interfaces (Fiori Web and Excel plugin) is highly frustrating to our users. It should provide a one stop shop to the end users to engage with IBP. It should also provide better SSO options to integrate with SAP S/4HANA On-Prem

E2Open [Digital Transformation Solutions] was very cost effective and does provide a simple tool for us to provide our partner network. We have a vast array of partners, some of which do not have any marketing expertise. This tool makes it that much easier for a partner to take advantage of a tool that does all ends of automation for them.

We were already using SAP SCM APO, but when implemented S4 HANA 2021 we learned that SCM is going to obsolete and all new features will be added to IBP so we have started using IBP now itself. Better to start early than being tagged as "late entrant"

• We can spend our marketing money better on the product that is not selling as much as expected
• We can make sure our factories produce the right products because we have insights in which products are really in demand by our consumers.
