Well suited for sorting your account list, prioritizing discussion topics based on the Intent Topics, and finding related companies to customers you just closed. Using the "in the news tab" prior to personalized emails.Less appropriate if you want to trust the data 100% of the time because there is always some sort of outdated or inaccurate data (incorrect revenue, outdated HQ location, etc.). Would not use the "in the news" tab prior to or while on a prospecting call as it tends to be too much research for low return.

Infer

Infer is great for businesses that have a concept of a lead. It also works very well for companies with large databases that are difficult to sort through based on explicit information that you've collected from conversations or from forms. This might be a good fit for companies who are purchasing databases. Less appropriate for B2C type of businesses with no concept of a lead.

  • EverString can provide us actual contact data within an organization so we are not just targeting a company, but contacts within that organization.
  • EverString works seamlessly right inside our Salesforce instance.
  • EverString's UI is easy to use and navigate, plus our customer success manager is there for us every step of the way if we do run into an issue.

  • International data is a new frontier for Everstring, as they continue to venture into these offering, we just see additional value from our existing platform relationship.
  • Everstring cares about the integrity of their data science and the sound reasoning behind it but would be useful if more of the key model signals could be revealed within the platform.

Have a plan on how you're going to evaluate. We had a two-month trial period, but a six-month average lead cycle time, making it impossible to evaluate on a purely new-business ROI basis within the trial. We applied the model to our prior data, which demonstrated how much time and effort was devoted to accounts that weren't going to close

I believe that the two complement each other. Datanyze pulls off of a number of data points. Onsite it can pull technologies used (javascript based and also infrastructural), products offered, SEO ranking, and it even integrates with LinkedIn to pull names. Datanyze also has prospecting features - you can pull lists of companies based on technologies used, location, SEO (Alexa/changes with Alexa rank, SEO strategy, speed testing), SEM data points, industry, employee or revenue size, funding round dates and amounts, business segment, founding date, etc. It integrates with salesforce too so you can import leads directly into the system with the paid version. We bought for the scoring, but there is a lot that it can do.

Return on Investment

  • When we first deployed Everstring, we saw that 55% of our prospecting activity was against C and D rated leads, which have a very low conversion rate and very little revenue. We determined that we could increase company revenue by 16% and more than double the opportunity pipeline if we simply switched the prospecting time on C- and D-rated leads to A's and B's and maintained the same conversion and close rates.
  • We still have some fear that we may miss out on qualified leads that improperly score low, however, we have overcome our concerns by agreeing that any inbound leads will be routed to sales teams even if the scores are below the MQL threshold.
