Fieldwire vs. Foundation Software Construction Accounting

We used Fieldwire to increase our overall productivity for our engineers and for our installers and techs in the field, so our techs could have everything in front of them when needed. Sometimes the software can be dependent on cell service and when in a remote construction area it becomes hard to pull the information.

Does not have employee facing portal where employee can update info. Does not have part to do onboarding, hr, etc. Payroll is wonderful and more efficient. Pulling reports is amazingly easy. Building reports is easy

It was decent to implement. It's been pretty easy at training others. Really easy to connect to their computers

Fieldwire customer service is exceptional. They are always looking to grow, learn and take feedback from users to make their software the best it can be. They have taken feedback from us, worked with us on how to best implement and incorporate our ideas and work quickly with their software engineers to implement the feedback into the software. They are willing to make changes quickly and are not shy in asking your opinion. If there are ever issues with your subscription, software or data, they are very quick to make sure everything is taken care of to the best of their ability.

Support is usually pretty great. Most of the time return calls to tickets logged are fairly quick. Most everyone is knowledgeable and helpful

Fieldwire is a much better value.

Personally,
I did not have a hand in deciding the software, but for our company is has not
led to increased productivity or made things easier. It has been more difficult
for payroll to be inputted correctly and the payroll reports for certified
payroll often come out incorrect and we need to manually figure out how to correct
the issues and get them in correctly
