Honey (Intranet)

Honey is not an ideal choice for most smaller organizations, although some may find their file sharing and integration capabilities particularly useful. I believe Honey would be best suited for medium to larger organizations with a decent amount of employees who will fully appreciate the wide array of solution-based capabilities this digital workplace has to offer

PeopleONE

We are using [PeopleONE] to collect and manage our field data for payroll, invoicing, and production management purposes. So far, it works quite well for those uses. Additionally, we are using the app to manage communications from our offices to our field management at upper and middle field management levels. We have successfully used the application to communicate important upcoming events, COVID protocols and reporting processes, and other initiatives. I am unfamiliar with the limitations of this technology or applications for which it would be unsuited.

Pros

Honey (Intranet)

  • File sharing: This is our main reason for using Honey.
  • Integrations: Honey works seamlessly with all of our other apps and programs.

PeopleONE

  • The UI, both for desktop and mobile apps, is simple and virtually self-explanatory.
  • Compared to apps we have used in the past, PeopleONE is fast, in both data entry and retrieval.
  • The team responsible for creating our specific requirements for the app is exceptionally responsive. It is made up of creative problems solvers who have built a product that meets every need we have presented.

Cons

Honey (Intranet)

  • In the areas Honey was used (i.e. file sharing and integrations) we found it to be very effective, however we did not find much use for it after that.
  • Honey’s app desperately needs an update.

Alternatives Considered

Honey (Intranet)

Honey would provide a great service for organizations with several employees that are in need of a wide array of digital workplace solutions. A good alternative worth looking into would be OnSemble if your business is in the market for a different kind of digital workplace

Return on Investment

Honey (Intranet)

  • Pos: Honey’s file sharing capabilities had an overall positive impact on our business objectives.
  • Pos: Honey allowed us to make an impact outside of the work place by helping us to create a more efficient work environment through its effective integration capabilities.
  • Neg: Honey didn’t have the ROI we were ultimately hoping for, which is why I believe Honey would be best suited for larger organizations.
