Creative agency environments where jobs have many moving parts and employees working on. Customer contact information management. Internal creative collaboration (brainstorming). Management oversight allowing team leads to review hours logged per employee to each job. Read full review WorkflowMax is very well suited for a business that wants to track time billed by project, to have an easy way to generate invoices for those projects, and to keep track of overall productivity and invoice status. I imagine it can also be adapted to different types of businesses that deal in goods rather than services and time. I am not sure for which scenarios or businesses the program is not appropriate.

Time tracking - like several time tracking solutions, FP uses a clock that will track in real time so that you do not need to remember how long you worked on a project to input later. Dashboards - I love FP's dashboards that let me track my personal utilization, the utilization of my team members and all of my open tasks. Reporting - FP's reports provide insight organization-wide into how we are doing and where we (as an organization) are spending our time. As with any reporting, though, it is important to manage the cleanliness of your data to make the reporting useful. Read full review You can customize the notifications and this has helped us enormously to schedule dates that we overlooked. Also the templates are customizable which gives the company its own branding on its reports. It is integrated with the Xero platform which makes it very useful to streamline the processes of billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash flow and all the accounting and administrative area. Function Point often provided reports that were inaccurate due to bad calculations. The support team would work with us to troubleshoot these issues, but the fact remained that calculations were wrong. Function Point was purchased by a new parent company that increased prices over their nearest, superior, competitor, pricing themselves out of the market. Function Point's interface is dated, as is its code base. New features are being implemented not as software revisions or upgrades, but as new for-pay features. Read full review Currently the timesheet function allows staff to input time for overlapping periods which can cause some headaches when it comes to payroll and invoicing. We understand this is being addressed. The amount of flexibility in the product can create some challenges when setting up the jobs database at the onset. It is a daunting challenge but worthwhile when completed correctly and rolled out across the firm. Adding new jobs is much easier. Receive weekly emails from FP team about new features being added and webinars to review. Always extremely reliable and quick to respond with answers to questions or concerns. Includes function for their clients to make recommendations to their platform. Allows for customization on the back end to provide the best solution/functions for each client. Decide how to breakdown your ongoing jobs - are they monthly recurring or annual broken into chunks? What are you going to give clients i.e. how will your proposals and invoices look?

Workamajig was NOT a good fit, after over a year of back-end setup.
FunctionFox didn't have the financial integration capabilities we needed, but we used it for years and were happy with the service and support. FunctionPoint brought together the 30,000-foot view of the projects and resources with a simplified process for getting day-to-day jobs into the queue, which was essential for our organization.

Streamtime is a great comprehensive product but we lost a year's subscription in investment because we couldn't get answers to the support questions we needed and they had a no refund policy!

Max enables the Loan Assistant team to manage their workflow in an efficient and productive way. The team all work from home. It is the centre of our Loan Assistant universe.
