GitGuardian is well suited to prevent data leaks and alert users about their exposed secrets. It enhances security by monitoring repositories in real time and mitigation potential security risks. GitGuardian's monitoring and alerting capabilities are the best out there. It integrates easily with version control systems and users don't need to go extra mile to set it up since it's very easy to use.

[Tenable.sc (formerly SecurityCenter)] does very well for internal scanning for vulnerabilities, however it needs to be combined with Tenable.io in order to do cloud scanning.

This gives me the most convenient and efficient way to manage and remediate my secrets and sensitive data leaks on public GitHub

We decided to go with Tenable due to its robust reporting capabilities and competitive pricing vs its competitors. While all tools are very similar in regards to scanning capabilities we prefer Tenable SC's user interface. We also like the option to have both on-prem and cloud with theirs. Tenable io product as well.
