Gong is a super useful tool to help me improve my conversations with customers. I work fully remotely, so it's difficult to know what my teammates are doing, what decks they are using, what messaging they're using to sell value, and what questions they are asking since we're not all on a sales floor together. With Gong, I can easily listen to and get best practices from top reps on my team so replicate in my own conversations.

In my day today, I'm often asked to comb through transaction data and send out the appropriate reports - with Salesforce revenue Cloud that's not an issue. I have complete visibility over the entire purchasing process and am able to share that with my relevant team members. Being able to have a variety of visible ways to examine that data helps a lot too. I personally use the line graphs for total revenue by product.

  • Source of absolute truth! So easy to see what meetings have been done, and how it was done. No more he says she says
  • Transcription - it has been accurate, and helps when trying to learn how to handle rejections

  • Would like to have Gong use AI to alert me when a customer is at risk for attrition
  • Would like to make it easier to search on Accounts. When I type into the search field, sometimes multiple accounts appear, and when I click on one, there's an error.

  • Our Salesforce is very messy, which tells me it's not super easy to clean up.
  • I always have a really hard time removing a contacts from an account - it seems like you can't simply remove the relationship so we have lots of people named DO NOT CONTACT or things of that nature.
  • Sometimes when saving it doesn't seem like things actually save.

Gong is very easy to use! You can easily access a representatives call by just searching for their name. You have many filters to use if you are looking for a specific call. You can also search for specific words within a call. For example, at one point we wanted to see how many calls talk about someone being a cash buyer. We were able to search the word "cash" and find these calls

We used to use Zoom recordings but they don't compare, we also had to spend a ton on extra storage while Gong is unlimited. In my opinion, Zoom/etc. provides no insights, no ability to score calls, no collaboration, poor sharing, etc.

This program is just more advanced and customizable. It worked for our diverse team needs considering the size and complexity of our portfolio. This was just the right choice for us. The other CRM's were great for smaller-scale enterprises at the time that I used them.

  • Greater collaboration across internal teams
  • Improved presentation and conversation skills, based on manager feedback and individual assessment
  • Improved patience (must fewer instances of interrupting customers thanks to Gong)
  • Customers are more confident in their decisions (when they can rewatch demos)
  • Better alignment with customers, since we can be truly present on the call then listen to the recording later instead of taking notes in real-time
