HootSuite Enterprise is particularly well suited for companies with multiple handles or profiles for different departments or international audiences. The team features and workflow make it very easy for companies with multiple people monitoring and posting to social media channels to work together seamlessly

Spredfast

Spredfast is a great tool for enterprise level social management. We've been able to gradually ramp up our number of users and accounts in phases, which has suited us, as a large, geographically widespread organisation.It works well with our other marketing technology platforms, and their integrations and APIs are straightforward.If the organization was much smaller I think the platform would still work as the costings are broadly based upon users and accounts so could well be a good SME solution too.

Pros

  • Reliable. HootSuite is a very reliable and easy-to-use tool.
  • Good analytics.
  • Scheduling capabilities are really great. We use many student volunteers and this capability makes it possible to manage the entire program with one full-time person managing it. We can maintain an active presence over several channels without having to be post live.
  • I met our reps, Heather Buckingham and Mahshad Vakili Hall, in person before the Smart Social Summit in ATX last year. We instantaneously clicked, they have been extremely helpful, excellent resources, and genuinely care about our success with the platform. I love Heather, Mahshad and the entire Spredfast team!
  • During the Smart Social Summit in ATX last year, I had the opportunity to meet a lot of the Spredfast team. From senior leadership to directors, sales, fulfillment, and customer service everyone made me feel like part of the family. A special shout out to Dave Games, Seth Egert, Matt Flamman, Alex Levy, Nadia Khalid and more. It was such a great first impression and they haven't disappointed.
  • I've signed up for some of the complimentary training sessions with the product coaching team and have learned so much from them! After receiving minimal training on the platform and functionalities in Conversations, I cherish these coaching sessions. A big thank you to our rep, Heather Buckingham, for encouraging me to sign up for these sessions. Shout out to Martin La Rocca and Casey Mong for being amazing product coaches and Josh Briseno for his support too!
  • Spredfast just gets it! They know the social space, keep up with the ever-changing landscape, and their summits provide so much value.

Cons

  • The only drawback is the delay between what is being posted and what I’m seeing on the interface.
  • Use it for weekly reports. Don’t see the most recent posts. For management, I just go to FB.
  • Analytics. Hard to measure. Would love an easier way to track metrics. The reports in HS are helpful but they do not show everything I need to share with management.
  • I'd like to see some user experience tactical function improvements implemented on a quicker timeline - things like having an option to choose a new user to mirror or offering more saved data exports. That said, we have a great technical account manager and information architect who take care of us quickly and seamlessly.

There is no product like Spredfast. Our company lives and dies by the analytics, and to date we have not seen a more comprehensive analytics structure for any social media management tool. Spredfast support is also fantastic, responding and resolving any and all questions, ideas, or complaints, usually in 24 hours.

It is really important to go through all of the videos and take the test in HootSuite University in order to experience the benefits of the product. Staff members lost interest when they could not understand basic functions of the product. Some of the task are a bit cumbersome and will require several views to execute (Geo-Location and Targeting)

The use of the Spredfast platform is simple, which makes it very user friendly throughout. Once you have a specific area or material you are seeking to review or research, pulling this information is only few key words, a click of your mouse and it is at your finger tips. Not to mention the reports produced are beautifully designed and self explanatory and easy to share with others.

it is important to note that my perspective is not necessarily common - I'm a geek/nerd/poweruser in general, so I found the online resources to be more than adequate (and often very aesthetically pleasing, too). That said, a less "geeky" person might struggle a bit.

Alternatives Considered

• We had tried Sprout Social, primarily for posting and monitoring. Sprout had a great UI – perhaps a bit more modern than the HootSuite UI: It’s very intuitive and easy-to-use, but it didn’t have filtering. It presented one big stream. HootSuite allows filtering so that data can be categorized and presented in different columns. Sprout Social did had a great Twitter lookup tool which provided an easy way for me to pull up all my Twitter conversations with someone. This is the greatest tool ever. HootSuite doesn't have it. Also, Sprout Social does not have the same adoption as HootSuite, and that wide adoption made us feel more secure. For us HootSuite Enterprise was better choice.
• We also use Radian6 for listening and analytics
Percolate and Curalate both offer similar features as Spredfast Conversations. We ended up selecting Spredfast conversations again because we were already familiar with how it worked, didn't have any major issues with it in the past, and saw no reason to discontinue our partnership with the platform in order to move to a different one.

Content labels allowed us to track which content performed best. Knowing this enabled us to tailor future content and write posts that followers actually wanted to read and share, which then increased our social media following organically by thousands of users over the past year.
  • Our Spredfast account reps worked with us personally to perform an in-depth analysis of our social media followers. We now know who our key brand advocates and influential followers are.
  • During our company's annual conference, Spredfast's monitoring tools were invaluable for tracking mentions of the company and the conference. The tool also helped us track visits to the company website from social posts, which helped prove to executive leadership the value of social media.
