This product is well suited for all businesses, but definitely, one where the business deals with daily interactions with customers. Retail, restaurants, and amusement parks all would benefit from the scheduler and store log features.It probably would not be as beneficial in an office setting, unless it was strictly used for the scheduler feature. Also, if the operation is small in size (under 15 employees), I believe the price may prevent some from trying the product.

If you're wanting to go more paperless this is a great software! Going from paper open enrollment to 100% electronic has been great! Having staff get their pay stubs, their W-2's and 1095's has saved us in postage fees and time. Staff can update their address, direct deposit, and W-4 in employee self-service so that has eliminated that paperwork too.

  • As changes/approvals are made the system updates, allowing for everyone to look at the schedule as it is in its current form.

  • All tax information is kept up to date and balancing is easier for the quarter and year end.
  • I can see all locations' payroll information and assist them with any problems they may be having. There is security to limit access to certain locations for other individuals.
  • An online chat screen is available if a payroll is open and immediate assistance is required. This is very beneficial in keeping a payroll moving forward in a timely manner. We have used it successfully several times.

  • Sometimes the HotSchedules system goes down for no apparent reason.
  • The updated scheduler interface is sometimes confusing.
  • The updated employee requested time off interface is more confusing and difficult to understand now than it used to be.

  • The year end process could be a little more user friendly.
  • Tax reconciliation can also be a bit more user friendly. Best practices for that functionality is not explained very well at all.
  • Some of the front end imports could use more user functionality. We do a lot of conversions. Being able to do a direct deposit stand alone import would be great. We've asked but so far have not recieved that functionality.

UltiPro rarely has a connectivity issue. If so, you immediately are notified via email and it is fixed very quickly. The pages load very fast and there is very little down time or lag time. The reports are amazing! Each and every field is reportable. Simply drag and drop the field into a preview window and you can instantly see a sample of the report you are creating. Even complex reports complete almost instantly

Management and employees alike have praised the choice to move to UltiPro. Gone are paper profiles, gone is a third party performance appraisal system, which required another login and password. Gone is the home grown web-based time keeping system and the third party software needed to view a pay statement or W-2, it is all seamlessly integrated.

In person training is very informative and well structured. The have a consistent training team who are very knowledgeable. Planning is required to ensure you get into the classes as they are free.There is a good back fill on lead lead on line as well as recorded sessions and training on numerous topics

Instructors are knowledgeable. Time in the class for labs or hands-on work where applicable really helps. I use my materials frequently when writing a BI report if it is not a feature I do frequently. The material is consistent, it frees up my HRIS coordinator from training new users in HR. The quick tours for end users are great as well. Registering for the training can be a little confusing, the front end for locating the classes is not as easy as it could be.
