HubSpot Marketing Hub

I've worked with HubSpot [Marketing Hub] for six months and having all of the tools I need to write and edit website pages and blogs, post social media and send out emails is pretty awesome. There's still a lot of marketing and sales tools I don't know how or haven't had to use yet. I'm confident when I do need additional resources, HubSpot will probably have them. I'll learn to use them intuitively or easily find some training.

Zendesk Chat

Zendesk Chat is great for communication with potential and existing customers as opposed to having to speak with them. Some customers don't like talking on the phone and/or like the flexibility of doing other things while chatting in. It's not as appropriate for meetings with management/higher-ups since it's far too casual.

  • Social media scheduling. A comprehensive and easy to use social calendar allows you to easily schedule posts and get an over arching view of social activities for the month and beyond.
  • Email marketing. The templates provided allow me to easily create, beautiful professional emails.
  • Landing pages and forms. I can easily track submissions with the forms and the templates provided for a landing page ease a major pain point.

  • A lot of nice features that allow us to customize the experience that we want to give our customers in terms of branding, functionality, and handling
  • Zopim does a great job with providing business process capabilities and routing features that help with managing our workflow, workforce management, and business processes
  • Zopim is also very easy to use, easy to set up, and easy to understand especially from an agent UI, providing a great opportunity to increase agent efficiency and usefulness

Cons

HubSpot Marketing Hub

  • It is less about HubSpot as a platform and more about the app, but I wish they were able to bring a bit more functionality to the app such as being able to schedule posts. It would make trade shows much easier.
  • I wish the template designs were easier to make changes to because without CSS knowledge they can be complex to adjust. Many other sites have more user-friendly designs and this one is very rigid and sometimes hard to adjust.
  • While I love HubSpot Academy, I wish it listed out your current courses versus having to search for them. It would help remind me which ones I need to finish.

  • Zendesk/Zoopim is right around an entire Live visit programming .There isn't an approach to compel the client to answer certain inquiries preceding entering the talk. The talk transcripts some of the time take long to appear in the visit history .
  • Exhausting outline for the talk message box
  • No work area warnings
  • Warning sound just played once. Since we are not at the front counter constantly, it would make our work more troublesome since we expected to continue checking the site.
  • No portable application
  • In the event that we shut program window we would be promptly disconnected.

They have had issues with system availability over the course of days. Sometimes the system is unusable, other times updates simply take a long time to show up. It's better now but, from a reliaibility standpoint, HubSpot is not Salesforce.com yet. Still great software though.

With all the new features in HubSpot, the system can get a tad slow sometimes... That said, most of the time it is lightning fast and I have no problems. Because most of the integrations are API, they silently work in the background. I have not had trouble with lag due to HubSpot integration

Getting assistance and/or troubleshooting anything with Zendesk can be quite frustrating. In my years of experience with Zednesk, I have almost never found the answer to my question without going through multiple articles, ultimately getting frustrated and reaching out to our contact for more assistance. So for a consumer, the support is not as relieving as Zendesk Chat is to our customers in getting the questions answered by us.

But it was also great to have the ability to learn in a workshop format with other HubSpot users and meet my Account Manager/ Inbound Marketing Consultant in person.

Great training and helped my transition from traditional (outbound) marketing to inbound marketing that I've been able to apply to a number of businesses from wastewater and water reuse, to professional services and SaaS. Share information of value to build awareness and trust. Answer customers' questions in a transparent way to generate more qualified leads. Understand the difference between a marketing qualified lead and a sales qualified lead and put together a lead nurturing program. Your sales and marketing efforts will see significant ROI.

Alternatives Considered

HubSpot Marketing Hub

Salesforce and NetSuite are both great software however I believe HubSpot stacks up against them quite well. HubSpot has all of the same features when it comes to Sales Reporting, Dashboards, Follow up tasks, Note Taking, etc as the others. I would say Salesforce is more integrated, it has a lot of other features that can be used outside of sales. HubSpot can be used outside of sales as well such as marketing and customer service but not like Salesforce. NetSuite is great as well but HubSpot has been easier to navigate, train on, and use.

I prefer Zendesk Chat (formerly Zopim) over Talkdesk, as it provides customers with written proof of their conversation and customers are able to rate the conversation once it is done. Also, it's easier to find a previous conversation in Zendesk Chat (formerly Zopim) than in Talkdesk.

These and more contribute to the scalability of HubSpot - so I gave it an 8 and am hoping for more in the future!

  • First of all, I like the fact that this program is flexible and we can communicate with the customers or clients very smoothly.
  • Using Views, we can see how many unsolved tickets are in each group.
  • I really enjoy using Zendesk Support because it has been able to satisfy all the needs that I as a company have with both my clients and with my suppliers. As for the latter, I have been able to establish closer and more efficient communication with them.
