Likelihood to Recommend

Huddle

If you must simultaneously edit documents on a project, Huddle is not a good option. Also, if your team is not technically savvy, the learning curve can be challenging. Finally, if you need hundreds or thousands of people working on a project, Huddle might not be the right choice. I think it is better for teams under 100 people.

Pitch

I would highly recommend Pitch. It is very useful if one wants to design modern looking presentation that are pretty and easy to make. I have found it to be best suited for presentation with large amount of data as it does data visualization really well. It also has a lot of premade templates one can choose from which makes the presentation easy to make and takes less time.

Pros

Huddle

  • Usability is excellent.
  • Makes it easy to track who has worked on what.
  • Makes older versions of your files available.
  • Sharing documents is super simple.

Pitch

  • It has high quality templates.
  • It is quite affordable and lowest subscription costs just $10.
  • It's library of images is quite vast and filled with great content. With this, we rarely had to use other websites to find the required image.
  • They have a really good customer support.

Cons

Huddle

  • The desktop app is occasionally unreliable and it is never easy to get to the bottom of it with the tech support people...
  • Tasks are virtually useless as they have no context. We want tasks to be against documents so we can make our workflow more formal but they are not, so we don't use them. A reimplementation of to do and calendar facilities with files/documents as the context would make a huge difference to us.
  • The Huddle Office plugins are a great idea, but they cause us far too many Word and Excel crashes so we have to turn them off.

Pitch

  • Same type of features across all platforms.
  • More templates can be added with more options of modification.
  • Addition or more shapes to gallery.

Alternatives Considered

Huddle

Huddle is quite different from Tibbr. They serve different purposes for the most part. However, they both allow colleagues to improve their communication with one another, minimize email inbox clutter, and improve processes. We use both of these in our organization. Huddle has allowed us to store documents, share communication and generally work in the cloud.

Pitch

PowerPoint is good but Pitch is much better if you look into its features. PowerPoint is just basic if you are going for an unpaid version. While Pitch has a lot more to offer than just a basic presentation one is looking for. You can add a lot more to make your presentation look alive.

Return on Investment

Huddle

  • This has made it a lot easier for remote workers to access important documents without needing to use the VPN at home (which does not always work).
  • It clearly shows who updated the last document and when so it is clear who you need to ask if you have questions or something.
  • We have used it in client settings, so this saves money as we do not need to request a separate client laptop or VPN token.

Pitch

  • Collaboration mode made it more efficient to work.
  • Version history feature has saved lot of time.
  • Works great even on low spec machine.
