IBM B2B Cloud Services

We have just started to use IBM B2B Cloud Services within our department. We were looking for a cloud-based solution to manage all of our partner's B2B processes within a single interface. We did not want to have to go through the hassle of managing any sort of solution ourselves; thus, we came to the conclusion that a cloud-based solution would work best for our department. So far, we have found that the product has been reliable, and not having to worry about maintenance and patch cycles is always a good thing.

It is good to be used in team bonding sessions, e.g. we did a simple "2 truths, 1 lie" session where we wrote the 3 facts and then people could easy just move coloured circles to their choices... sometimes in virtual calls, it's hard to bring everyone into the meeting, as only 1 person can really talk at a time, but this way everyone could mess around too at the same time. Similarly, the above is also true for team brainstorming sessions.

  • Ease of learning and adoption. No prior experience is required in using the tool.
  • The templates available for various needs are impressive. You just need to pick up the right template to get your job done. This saves a lot of time trying to design one on your own.
  • Real time team collaboration and rapid working models to see the changes made by colleagues and track them accordingly.
  • User experience is top notch in terms of seamless drag and drop features and the user interface adds value for the customers to make flows and work look perfect.

Lucidspark

  • I like the idea of the containers, but am unclear what they are. It would be nice to have some examples or explanation at the point of use to better understand how and why to use them.
  • I just found out that I can import a csv file into sticky notes, but the option was hidden. That would be useful to know or have more easily available. I guess the feedback is make things more visible.

I personally found Lucidspark very easy to learn, and so far I have not heard anyone complaining about finding it difficult to use. In my experience with other products, I often spent a lot of time getting new people familiar with the tools, and helping them to overcome roadblocks.

Rating this a 7 because my knowledge of Lucidspark support is pretty limited - I've looked into some documentation, which was very easy to understand and digest. However, I've never communicated with anyone via email/chat, so I can't really speak to the strength of these options. I do think it's worth mentioning that I didn't need to leverage support because the product was so easy to use.

  • We feel that IBM B2B Cloud Services will drive down our maintenance costs because my group is no longer responsible for patching and maintaining infrastructure.
  • High availability of IBM B2B Cloud Services will allow us to have a greater up time with less downtime.
  • Having a single platform where all B2B integrations are shown and presented in a single interface will allow us to quickly and effectively manage those integrations and see which ones are really needed. A single view will provide instant visibility into any sort of problems that may arise as well.
