Furthermore, IBM Control Desk is a straightforward communication program between the ICT department and the end users, where they articulate a challenge and it is immediately sorted out. IBM Control Desk monitors even the functionality of the software in the systems.

    IBM Maximo functionalities are the easiest tools and very active with quality Cloud services generation and very easy to provide multiple data analytics and data visualization operations. The tool allows easy inventory management, easy tracking capability, and extremely easy to pull in data from other integrated applications very easy and smoothly through [IBM] Maximo options.

    • Data gathering for monitoring. Control Desk is able to efficiently monitor the actual state of your issues and changes.

    • Extensive asset tracking and management. IBM Maximo is extremely capable of handling all sorts of assets so you can track every detail and part of the lifecycle of an asset inside an organization.
    • Highly customizable. If the broad array of possibilities inside IBM Maximo still isn't suited for your specific application, it is possible to customize it to a very high degree so it can fit the needs of your organization.
    • Preventive maintenance and services. With IBM Maximo, it is possible to schedule all sorts of preventive maintenance for your equipment, maximizing the uptime of your systems and machinery and minimizing unforeseen events.

    • The importance of documentation is something that IBM Control Desk has also slightly ignored, and it facilitates learning.
    • Conservative in integrating with some other extensions or software.

    • There is a certain amount of difficulty in understanding and using it by companies of medium- and small-scale.
    • Getting used to it can be confusing in the first few days, so you need to take your time.

        The lack of support from IBM is a concern that should be addressed and something to keep in mind for those thinking about acquiring IBM Control Desk. This problem can be solved by hiring an experienced consulting company that helps you implement, customize and adapt the solution to your specific needs instead of acquiring it directly from IBM.

        Ease of configuration is a credible feature from the application, as we have the flexibility of personalizing the software for our needs. Also, IBM Control Desk captures the software problems and issues us with extensive answers for them. The communications that IBM Control Desk makes between the company's ICT department and the users is fruitful and speeds the business operations.

        Maximo is a good tool and, as I suggested, it is the system of choice for us. We continue to explore opportunities where we can replace our legacy systems in risk management and field mobility with Maximo. Maximo has to work harder to provide a clear picture of how we can do effective asset planning, strategy, and maintenance within one system.

        • Due to our company being highly focused on IBM Maximo implementation and support, IBM Control Desk is a necessary tool for tracking and support of said Maximo implementations.
        • By implementing IBM Control Desk as the main resource for support, the investment made has been very satisfactory and has brought us an increase in response time and management of tickets.

        • Need multiple IT developers and DBA's to run the software at an enterprise level.
        • We use it for logging and taking repair work orders, handling of parts orders, and fulfillment and job scheduling.
