Companies that are entering growth campaigns or experiencing expansions of any sort should look forward to adding tools of this kind, growing without scaling means failing at least partially, that is why IBM RPA could mean that the chance of "making the most of your efforts" is higher. Sales teams specifically, tend to spend plenty of time updating records in their CRM and pushing touchpoints manually, from an account executive perspective, if a sales team is spending a lot of time doing manual work (such as reporting, data updates, and contacting) IBM's RPA tool could suit them well.

I use Foxtrot for maintenance purposes. It is very well suited for this type of activity. To have someone change a responsibility code on 1000 accounts is monotonous and time-consuming. Foxtrot just runs in the background while you continue your daily tasks. Less suited is if maintenance on several thousand accounts is required in one day. There needs to be planning involved to make sure that scripts are run through and validations are done by a specific date.

The learning curve is very fast, so excellent skills are acquired. It is not necessary to have strong programming knowledge because its use is very easy. It is just drag and drop commands. By adding rules and logic, wonderful robots can be achieved.

IBM has done a great job with enablement for the product. There is documentation for use-cases, development videos for beginners, and a community forum that has proven useful for getting started with the application. Although the resources cannot solve every problem a developer comes across, they have been very beneficial to our technical team.

Foxtrot does not have nearly as much in terms of functionality and workflow tools. It is primarily meant for automating and creating scripts that help with mainframe-based maintenance and migration tasks. In addition, it is very efficient in simulating the actions of an individual for daily and manual tasks. We selected Foxtrot because it was the tool that was recommended by the main vendor we needed to interface with, and industry-wide it was the main tool being used by other financial institutions with similar platforms to perform the tasks that we bought the platform to perform.
