EAM is a very capable application without necessarily making it a complex tool to use. The nice thing with EAM is that, thanks to its configuration capabilities, it can be implemented in a multi-stage manner where users can start simple and then later (and over time) expand the usage as they learn or better understand its full potential.

Maintenance Connection

It has a very broad application so there is not much it does not cover. Our accounting department could use it but they choose not to. Really it could be company-wide for many applications. I came in as a Maximo user which was nice but very expensive to purchase and maintain.

Maintenance Connection

  • Product Performance - Maintenance Connection strives to keep the system running as smoothly as possible to end users. This includes great communication when system updates and/or changes are to take place.
  • System Support Team/Training - Maintenance Connection has a web sight, called MC User Connect, specifically set up for end users in mind. This web platform offers product suggestions to be made and votes on, training aids with videos for users to expand their knowledge of the system and a customer support ticket system were end users can ask questions and get answers in a very timely manner.
  • Customer Care - Maintenance Connection holds a User Conference called Check Point that is designed to link customers together with similar business roles to share best practices and lessons learned.

  • Allow system administrators to manipulate canned Infor EAM reports.
  • Remove menus that were used in earlier versions so they don't get confused for use in current versions.

Maintenance Connection

  • The work schedules are fixed so floating schedules cannot be used. It is a product suggestion the community is working on.
  • The Migration from our old system was not fun as the software where not compatible. Took me about three months to get everything in from transferring it to excel spread sheets.

The user support is better than average when comparing it to other software vendors we use. Normally they reply very quickly, but there is also a tendency to even reply too fast without fully analyzing or understanding the whole underlying problem. However, when we ask support to escalate something to the development team, this is done quickly as well.

Infor EAM is much better than the alternates that I've used in the past. We selected Infor EAM for their customization features and their phenomenal support team.

Maintenance Connection

It much more user-friendly and does not have a lot of wasted information that you would never use. I did a lot of research on other CMMS programs and questioned other users and was allowed to use the test module for 3 months. That pretty much sealed the deal for everyone except for those afraid of change. Eventually, they all fall in line and accept the new CMMS system.

Maintenance Connection

  • Our parts cost overall has had a great positive impact on our ROI. We are able to track parts in a more efficient manner that helps us to optimize inventory and reduce stock outs, in addition to helping us identify items that have no turn over.
  • Equipment downtime with regards to Corrective vs Preventive type work orders has made a big impact to our ROI. With the use of the Preventive Maintenance Module in Maintenance Connection, we have made a good shift towards more planned machine maintenance and less corrective type failures.
