Likelihood to Recommend Sage Intacct is well suited for most accounting needs, specifically journal entries, accounts payable/receivable processes and cash management. Intacct is also useful for budget planning and integration with financial actuals, as well as report writing to coincide with financial reporting processes on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. I'm not sure that Intacct has the capability to fully house a financial reporting process, but it is a great tool.
Read full review In my experience, Paychex Flex is well suited for small to medium sized businesses. It has been helpful in streamlining the onboarding process and it is easy to update and maintain employee profiles and records. It has worked will in a non-profit environment where there is clergy pay and housing, which can get quite complicated. I cannot think of a scenario where it would be less appropriate.
Read full review Pros Sage intacct will be useful in month end reconciliation by extracting all the required reports. It is helpful for viewing of any type/particular GL codes directly in the General ledger folder It will be helpful to apply the credit memos for a particular date Read full review I like I can enter payroll and if I need to leave the program, I can resume at a later time and my information is saved. I like the analytics & reports features. I like how all my employees have easy access to their portal. Read full review Cons More "in your face" notice of added features that require being added to a user profile Clearer explanations of what is needed on importing sheets Go back to emailing office hours recaps for people that attended or signed up to attend Read full review Reporting writing is difficult to figure out Employee turnover inside Paychex was a problem, until we were assigned to Neil Williams - since that time it has settled down Pressure to convert personal connection with payroll advisor to using automated service Read full review Likelihood to Renew Sage Intacct is continuously evolving and increasing it's functionalities. I am excited to attend conferences to learn what is in the roadmap for future releases. Additionally, using Sage Intacct allows me grow as a professional, I am really enjoy the knowledge that I have within the product to be able to share my experiences.
Read full review Overall I like the features that Paychex Flex offers. I am sure that there are other features that I am unaware of, so I am excited to see if there is more that Flex is capable of to make my job easier. The basic features are really user friendly and easy to access. If there ever is an issue customer service is great
Read full review Usability The ease of use as a seasoned user is wonderful; however, new users struggle to adapt to the program efficiently. Better training videos--all in one location--would be beneficial. The use of a "sandbox" environment is a great tool for new employees or for the fiscal department to test certain journal entries or other transactions to verify accuracy of data.
Read full review Some things could be streamlined. For example, we could do custom options for the "add items" tab which has so many options that we never use. "Medical Pay" could be something that the system remembers for the applicable employees. Salaried employees' salaries should definitely be auto-filled. Overall the system works well but I think it could be improved to be easier to use and read.
Read full review Reliability and Availability There has only been one occurrence where Sage Intacct was not available to me, however I had already been working a number of hours trying to get a project completed. It honestly allowed me to step back and take a much needed break.
Read full review We have not experienced any difficulties with unplanned outages. Notifications are always made for outages, and they do not effect normal business operations.
Read full review Performance As fas as integration is concerned I don't feel this slows Sage Intacct down at all. However, sometimes I do feel it takes some larger reports more time to load due to all the detail. As well as, I "move very fast" in my motions so sometimes I double click on fuctions too quickly and the system seems to think that I have a duplicate request.
Read full review Unless there is lag time within the internet, the Paychex Flex website loads exceptional fast, pages load quickly and reports that I need to print or download load quickly. If I need to create a specialized report, once I complete it I receive an e-mail telling me my report is ready to be downloaded. Changing between web pages is fast as well.
Read full review Support Rating Only a few times have we had to reach out to support, and every time we did, we received a relatively quick response and a solution was found fairly quickly. Only once was there an issue that took longer than a week to resolve, but it still did eventually get solved.
Read full review Our dedicated representative is one of the main reasons we are sticking with Paychex Flex. If it were not for this person, other platforms could provide the same/similar functionality. It is the ability to speak with someone that understands our business and is willing to get questions answered in a timely fashion that keeps us with Paychex Flex.
Read full review In-Person Training I have taken in person training classes at several of the annual Sage Intacct user conferences. It is very interactive and the trainers are very easy to follow and understand. They are great at getting everyone in the class involved. They also make sure everyone has learned to task before moving to a new one.

Read full review We did online training only
Read full review Online Training The free training is very minimal. For what we pay for the service, I would like more training. We end up training new users in-house because the provided free training is not nearly comprehensive enough. That being said, the training provided, for the material covered, was adequate and relevant for the given topics.
Read full review It was easy to understand and follow along. I do like the informational videos that we can utilize before we opt to call in for customer service support. It has made a difference since sometimes that resolves the issue I may have had and saved myself a phone call to Paychex support.
Read full review Implementation Rating I would not use a thrid party administrator to implement your system, especially if you are going to be modifying the system at all. Use Intacct implementors as they will be able to better support you on any issues that come up after you go live.
Read full review Implementation was very smooth. The most cumbersome task was entering the current employees into the system during initial set up, but Paychex staff handled most of that and verified against prior system reports as well as internal reports provided to ensure 100% accuracy.
Read full review Alternatives Considered Sage intacct is known for its robust financial management capabilities. It offers features like general ledger, accounts payable and recievable, project accounting, expense management and more. It is suitable for small top mid sized businesses and larger enterprises. Sage intacct is highlyscalable and can accommodate the needs of growing businesses.
Read full review We still use QB Desktop Pro to maintain a Check Register / Overall Balance for the company, but once having tried QB Payroll Online for about 3 months prior to finding Paychex Flex I can tell you that there's just no comparison. QB online is VERY EXPENSIVE and not so user-friendly. I hated every minute of those 6 payrolls we ran through QB online.
Read full review Scalability You can do a lot with this system and integrate it with a lot of your additional systems you use daily.
Read full review Employees can log in at home and get up to date information on their FSA balance and any medical bill reimbursements they may have uploaded. At renewal time they have the ability to make changes to their FSA or for new employees star the enrollment.
Read full review Return on Investment Sage Intacct provides multiple modules based on business requirements and it will fulfill the client's needs as per their budget. AP aging and AR aging help clients to make the decision at any time to allow reserve for doubtful debts to ensure the financials are shown with correct values. Financials are published on time with minimal adjustments or corrections. This client benefits and files taxes on time. Read full review I do not believe we have saved anything additionally. The time we've had to spend to get things to hopefully work is sad. This is the reason we've had to turn off all extra "products" of Paychex Flex. Time and Attendance is horrible. Benefits management is horrible. The user experience is horrible. One thing I do not understand is why are updates for states, cities, counties, school districts, etc. not automatically updated? Should we not get a big red flag if we have an employee living/working, being paid in CA, but they aren't set up for CA sick time? If it is required to be on the paycheck stub to show the balance of the sick time, why would we not be notified that we are out of compliance? Read full review ScreenShots
