It is great for just about any organization that does onboarding and training as it saves time and assists in keeping your team on track while bringing on new people. It helps to streamline a typically very difficult process for smaller teams. It has helped us immensely.

Litmos is a great tool if you are developing and curating content in-house and team members need a simple tool to distribute, track and engage learners in an online platform. It works best if you've got a clear learning strategy that you can then align the tool with. Take the time to learn about the functionality and features of the system before you get started so that you have a general understanding of how you want to build modules, courses, learning paths, and collections, along with the use of the Teams, so to shape the experience learners have and use the automation functionality for assigning content based on the learners profile.

  • SAP content (more specifically, the cartoon learning pack produced out of the UK)
  • SAP Litmos itself provides good customer service - the move to SAP did not lead to this

  • The reporting mechanism is OK - but can be better. highly complex - with some bugs that are still under investigation.
  • changes in the platform that are done periodically - should not break the user's portal as it happens several times.
  • SAP Litmos Ideas is OK, equivalent for Feature request, functionality wise, I would recommend adding Video Speed control, Adding the undo action for users deletion, learning path inside learning path, questions in exams to be with more options like in other vendors, and question numbering (which is very basic).

      For what we need in the very near future, Litmos does not offer us the required capability. Ideally, we are looking for an integrated LMS, coaching, mobile support and content creation platform. Litmos may have the LMS part covered but there are other platforms that do this better along with providing an integrated all-in-one service or at the very least support API integration with other vendors to meet our requirements.

      SAP Litmos receives a rating of 8 as it has room to grow and better interface with the System Administrator. There are lots of useful tools but the instructions are somewhat confusing and make implementation trivial instead of being as easy as the trainee environment. There are integration and add-on features that are available but do not always work the way you need with your instance of the software. More clarity of what is available and examples would make it a 10!

      We rarely have issues with down time. Obviously, the user's browser, etc. can come into play. But, overall, this is what I would call stable software. And, it has the advantage of being accessed over the internet so learners can access from home if they want.

      They still have a way to go with their reporting. But, they have been working on this and they continue to improve.
      Aside from reporting, I would say that SAP Litmos performs very well. I rarely have any issues at all - even given the things I normally have open on my computer!

      The knowledgebase is very generic, so beyond some basic, "this is how you use Litmos", I am not super impressed with the self-service options for troubleshooting issues or finding best practices from peers. Getting a response from specialists also takes a great deal of effort. The initial ticket is almost never where my answer comes from, so I have to wait on the escalation to take place, and usually that goes to an account specialist. Once I get that, there is usually a back and forth before we agree on what the issue is. Service is always courteous, but not efficient. I am never sure where my ticket stands with regard to escalation/processing, so I have to inquire. Service tickets and service are not a clean process right now, at least not for me. Nothing like it was during our implementation.

      They set us up to do the work, I would have appreciated some more assistance in creating our hierarchy as that would have saved us some headaches of recreating it, and also allowed us time to better question how assignments and the rollouts go, particularly how the communications go out when things are assigned.

      I evaluated around 8 learning management systems including Cornerstone and chose SAP Litmos because it was priced well but had all the bells and whistles that would be essential for a corporate level LMS. It was easy to set up initially and had the best customer support.

      • SAP Litmos has increased employee engagement tremendously since we first launched our LMS. I recently ran reports on live events from 2019 with an attendance of 20 employees vs. 2021 where attendance was well into the 100s for live events. The LMS enables us to track attendance for live webinars as well and run reports which is extremely convenient.
      • The implementation of SAP Litmos was also instrumental in our attainment of SOC II Type II certification. This was a tremendous success for the entire organization and reflects FordDirect’s commitment to ensuring the security, confidentiality, availability and privacy of data in our care. Most companies attempt SOC II Certification for one application, we attained our certification for four applications - Consumer Connection CMS, Delivr, One Integrated Platform and Vehicle Locator Plus.
      • We implemented SAP Litmos for our full company mid-year of 2019. Each year we do a survey that asks our employees whether they feel they have an opportunity to improve their skills at FordDirect. Our end of year results for 2018 reported that only 57% of our employees agreed. By the end of 2019 this number had jumped to 80%. In a few short months, digital learning had made its mark. By our one-year anniversary in April of 2020, amid a global pandemic, our team was poised to easily and effortlessly share critical information and protocols with our staff.
      • Prior to the implementation of Litmos, our company had no digital learning and all training was in person and instructor-lead. Our learning records were tracked on paper, and all reporting was done manually. This was particularly challenging for our compliance mandates. Implementation of online compliance learning enabled us to obtain 100% compliance across our enterprise in less than one year. Additionally, we had extremely high adoption of professional development programs with over 5,000 course completions in SAP Litmos during this time. The transformation from in person to digital learning was extremely timely and set us up for success in the era of COVID-19 and beyond to the remote/hybrid workforce we now have.
