While Khoros is a great platform for social content scheduling, there's definitely room for improvement within the platform. Scheduling within the platform has remained successful for my company due to the multiple-channel scheduling feature, shortened link tool and automatic posting, but this is primarily what we use Khoros Marketing for. The analytics tool is difficult to understand, and there are functionalities that I wish were present. I think the performance measurements provided within the analytics tool could be adjusted to better suite the needs of a social media program (specific follower count information, individual post breakdowns, etc.). I also think the account integration functionality could be improved to support multi-brand organizations like mine.
If you would like a reliable scheduling tool, KUKU.io is not the one to use. If you like to share lots of industry news, secondary content, or content from your website/blog, be aware that KUKU.io will corrupt the preview headline. You would be far better off using another scheduling tool. I have now changed to a free tool and it has all the same capabilities without this corruption issue. I also used paid ones which are equally good.
io corrupts headlines of articles you reshare. When you schedule a post with a URL in it, the Title of the blog post that is displayed below the picture/preview gets corrupted. So if you add any text in with the URL, that will replace the headline. I have noticed this on both LinkedIn and Twitter.
Very poor support team. I have found that the support team at KUKU.io are extremely rude, unwilling to help you and take a long time to reply. On some occasions I have had to message them three times in the chatbot for them to even reply. None of these times has the issue been resolved. When I reported to them that KUKU.io was corrupting headlines, at first they refused to take responsibility. Finally, they admitted it was the platforms fault but said they were not doing anything at that time to fix it.
Analytics are poor. The analytics suite in KUKU.io does not give you anything analytics for LinkedIn. The ones it provides for Twitter you can get directly from Twitter. So no value is added there.
You cannot tag LinkedIn accounts. I use HubSpot to schedule social media posts which allows you to tag companies at least. KUKU.io cannot.
There is no product like Khoros. Our company lives and dies by the analytics, and to date, we have not seen a more comprehensive analytics structure for any social media management tool. Khoros support is also fantastic, responding and resolving any and all questions, ideas, or complaints, usually in 24 hours.
Khoros Marketing is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. The calendar visibility is the view I use most so I can see all posts going out on all of our channels. It allows us to time posts in a proper cadence so we don't overlap with other pressing content.
• We still experience a bit of downtime and slowness here but things have drastically improved in the last year with their feature updates and reconfigured hosting.
Khoros has greatly improved the performance of its SaaS products in the last 5 years. Their applications, including Conversations, Intelligence, and Experiences, all load quickly with real-time data. This performance is critical to provide meaningful, social customer support, and marketing. The performance maintains integrity even when you deploy powerful integrations like Salesforce Customer Relationship Manager.
Someone is almost always available and responds very quickly to any issues or concerns. Customer service is one of their best features and we have never had an issue. They take their time making sure you understand what you are working with and are available via email or phone to walk you through any issues.
The support team are extremely rude and often unresponsive. All of the issues I have reported to Kuku has been responded to with "we are not looking to resolve this issue at this time." On a few occasions, they have tried to deny the issue lies with them, before evidence has been provided. Then, they have refused to fix the issue.
• As a very early customer, we did not undergo formal training but worked closely with the team to get the system set up to do what we wanted. However, online training resources are now available with many blog posts / video lessons and tutorials.
it is important to note that my perspective is not necessarily common - I'm a geek/nerd/poweruser in general, so I found the online resources to be more than adequate (and often very aesthetically pleasing, too). That said, a less "geeky" person might struggle a bit.
The implementation team from Khoros were great - they worked hard to understand our somewhat complex organization, and were with us all the way through face to face meetings, user training, and technical training. We had a clearly defined account manager and implementation manager, who worked really effectively together and with us.
Khoros' product offering supports multiple teams within the enterprise whereas many of their competitors lacked 1 product or another, which would have required us to vet, sign, and renew with multiple vendors. My team vets competing platforms every year, and Khoros continues to beat them in functionality, support, and scalability
I am giving this rating because Khoros works for our organization. We have not needed to scale it lately but we know the capability is there. The Khoros account team is good about checking in with us to make sure the tool meets our needs.
