This is one of the most user-friendly QMS programs I have used because it does not require lengthy training to navigate the system. We are able to bring on a new employee and have them start their own initial onboard training in Qualio with only a simple introductory message that shares a few key instructions. The available training in Qualio Help has proved very effective when needed. An individual can pick whatever training is appropriate at that moment and there will be instructions on demand on any topic related to Qualio operations. Qualio is relatively new software and is maturing with a responsive staff that releases new updates on a monthly, weekly, or even daily basis. It has grown incapability in the two years I have used it and it continues to evolve through customer inputs and looking at other state-of-the-art products. The staff listen and respond quickly compared to my past experiences with other QMS software. There is an opportunity for them to provide more and better features, but the gap is closing and the Qualio engineers have been very collaborative to work with, providing us opportunities to participate in their directions for growth.
Read full review Pros Power PDF integrates well with the Microsoft 365 (formerly Microsoft Office ) modules. This makes it very convenient to create .pdf documents directly from Microsoft Word and Excel and automatically open the resulting .pdf document in Kofax Power PDF for any required post processing. Power PDF allows easy "drag-and-drop" assembly of a .pdf document composed of pages from various other .pdf documents. This capability is crucial to generating a single cohesive .pdf document from a variety of source applications. Power PDF's cropping function allows for easily picking out excerpts from a .pdf document for use in other .pdf documents or other applications. The ability to save these files in JPEG format also provides good flexibility for importing to other applications. Supports a distributed/remote workforce by enabling electronic record-keeping and signatures. Generally supportive of the quality system regulations we are subject to. Jen Baird

Read full review Cons Difficult to add stamps - wanted to add a "checkmark" stamp and had to first find an image then work hard to make it a stamp Would be nice to have a better library of stamps for different use cases Sometimes the "search and redact" feature misses things if they are not exactly right. For example, the same numbers with a hyphen are found but without a hyphen, they are not. Read full review I would appreciate if similar documents are grouped together. For instance if engineering documents are put in one category and management document in a different category Qualio has links to external documents but it would be helpful if it linked the user to sections within the document also I would prefer that users be able to purchase licences directly without contacting a representative Read full review Likelihood to Renew
This program can do everything that acrobat can do. Kofax PDF is priced so that we can afford to purchase for more employees when we need to. Since we are hoping to grow exponentially in the next few years, this product will be the one we go with. I'm very happy with Kofax Power PDF

It is fast and easy to get the hang of. It really didn't take a lot of effort to learn how to use this program and I appreciated that it was pretty "plug and play" and there wasn't a long learning curve.

Other that a PDF partially disappearing if left up for a long period of time - no issues. (If you close it and reopen it, it is all there. We have some PDFs that are 400-600 pages long.)

Pages nearly always load at the expected rapid speed. Some documents that print quickly from Adobe Reader print much more slowly from Power PDF. I have never generated a report - that's a feature I didn't know existed until now and do not know what it's for

I haven't had to use the support yet, but I will give this company the benefit of the doubt before giving it a lower than stellar rating, especially because the product itself is integral to my business and therefore incredibly beneficial to me.

Two great things Qualio has for customer support. 1. They are available online and on the phone, if needed, 24/7 with very friendly and knowledgeable people. Usually, the wait is no more than 10 or 15 min, and while you wait, you can search their online help library. I used to call first, but now I've found that their online help library usually has he answers already and the instructions are clear. Usually, I learn more than I needed. So I now go there first and only call if I don't find anything in the online help library.

I got an overview of the product from my predecessor who was about to retire from the job I now hold. He did not go into very many of the features and probably only knew about the ones he used most frequently.

We watched the training videos and tested out the features and functionality side by side. Some features are not used on a regular basis is it is convenient to go back and review training on that particular functionality when needed.

Easy and quick, with no problems or support needed. Worked as intended right out of the box. E-signing was the only area that implementation was dificult and required support

When I started using PDF software, I only knew of Adobe. I quickly learned
and found my way around that software pretty well. I tried others, like
, but I stuck with Adobe until I switched to Kofax/Nuance. It was quick, simple, and seamless. It has a similar look and feel as Adobe; it has all of the same features; for the most part, the icons and menus are very similar in appearance and location; and the software, in general, is fairly intuitive.

Much better suited to a small start-up environment than Green Light Guru. Less suited in terms of usability compared to Q Pulse which has more bespoke configuration options, is easier to configure, and has more modules that interact with each other. Have tried Q Pulse and Green Light Guru.

Not really familiar since I'm the only person who uses it. But in the past it has been my understanding that Power PDF was offered only on a single-license basis, so it's been expensive for me to use it at home and at work because I had to pay for it on my own. In my current position management supports it so I at least only have to pay for it once.
Read full review Return on Investment The ability to make images of text searchable enables me to do my job. Without this ability it was virtually impossible to find relevant information in these large documents. The return on investment was huge. I can now take on much more work than before.
