Chose Grammarly
I use Grammarly, Linguix, and Wordtune. They all have a role in supercharging my writing. Grammarly is great with tone. Linguix is great for catching mistakes. And Wordtune is amazing for making my writing more concise or precise. They all have their strengths, and I use them …
Chose Grammarly
The closest alternative I could find is Linguix which is also great. The biggest advantage Linguix has over Grammarly at this time is being able to save templates onto hotkeys to quickly paste redundant emails and texts. However, I prefer Grammarly for real-time proofreading …
Chose Grammarly
Grammarly is interactive in that it responds fast to errors depending on the localised language. That it gives you access to the tone in which content is written is an unavoidable bonus. Often, emotions entangle with content and content loses the plot. With Grammarly, you get …

Grammarly
Grammarly is a step ahead of the traditional spelling and grammar checking tool that is in-built with Microsoft Word. There are scenarios when you have to write long-form content, and depending on your normal day-to-day way of speech, you tend to write content using the same tone and sentence constructs. There may be nothing "wrong" as such, but Grammarly points out those small glitches in your text, which you considered to be correct but is not really correct. One such area is the usage of "passive voice" in the sentences that I used to write. I find Grammarly really helpful here.

  • Its MS office version faces some issues with plagiarism detection. I have to go on the web version to use plagiarism detection.

Grammarly
I can easily access it in Word by clicking on the menu widget - where I do most of my writing. (Would love one for Powerpoint too???)

Support Rating
Grammarly
I have not really used customer support. I used the FAQ page to see how to re-install Grammarly because it wasn't functioning properly in longer documents. It seems to be working better now, but it still does not always underline all of the issues in the actual text. Thus, it is sometimes difficult to know where the errors are located.

Linguix
I use Grammarly and Wordtune as well. They all have their own strengths. Wordtune is great for helping change tone or rephrase things. Grammarly works almost everywhere and does a good job with pinpointing tone of voice. Linguix is a good all-around spell check and typo catcher. I use all three tools because all three are good.
