If you know Nagios or Nagios-like monitoring systems, OpsView will be really easy for you to learn and manage. Migrations process will be relatively easy. You're getting great U/I that will speed up adding new objects to the system and present data in a clear, organized way. In addition it's easy to create dedicated dashboards for your clients.

  • Separate modules such as Network Bandwidth, IPAM/SPM, APM, Server Monitoring can be opt-out Individually, huge cost saving for clients.
  • MSP version gives flexibility for Service providers, to offer Uninterrupted Infrastructure services across to their wide clientele.

  • Easily extensible. We write many of our own monitoring plugins for Opsview and use open source Nagios community plugins as well
  • Quick to deploy. Don't need to worry about all of the dependencies that you need to with something like Nagios
  • It just works. Most of the housekeeping tasks are completely automated
  • Nice visualizations and dashboards

  • Adding devices to existing groups and applying a group-wide parameter.
  • Email alerts can be a bit challenging depending on how email is managed within a company, sometimes adding ManageEngine OpManager to the allowed relay list for Exchange is necessary to receive any alerts

We are extremely pleased with the network discovery feature of ManageEngine OpManager. It greatly streamlines the process of discovering our network. Additionally, the bandwidth utilization feature is crucial. The detailed bandwidth and traffic reports aid in monitoring traffic at various levels.

At first, we were not able to add our Avaya switches to the configuration backup module, our partner tried to help, but they did not find the solution, we had one remote session with tech support of ME and they solve the problem.

Monitoring capabilities for almost every infrastructure types such as Network, Servers, Virtualization etc 2. Medium Licensing Cost and not that aggressively increasing every year. 3. Good Support and steady pace of growth and marketing.
