It is very appropriate for new hires to be able to take training during on-boarding. for customer service, safety, and some policy training. It is also great for OSHA training. They have great management training, especially for first time managers. Also have HR training and updates as well for HR staff or HR staff new to their roles.

Neogov is structured especially for local governments. They understand the needs of their customers and have the experience to help communities of any size acquire talented public servants. This is a public sector solution and probably isn't best suited for the private sector

  • The law alerts are great especially since we are in two different states
  • They have an elaborate course catalog of training and the dashboard is a great tool when keeping track of the staff accomplishments
  • I especially like the Checklist they have in the Resources tool to ensure nothing is missed so we can stay in compliance
  • The template toolkits are very easy to understand and follow

  • Specialized Recruitment for Governments - Neogov specializes in helping governments find and hire within the diverse and ever changing field of municipal governance.
  • Applicant Tracking - Neogov streamlines the application process when the time comes to hire a talented candidate(s).

  • Adding your own content would be a nice feature
  • Setting up your own dashboard would be nice

  • Customization can be tricky. I wish the platform could be more flexible.
  • Neogov should look into offering more Administrative training resources. It can be difficult for a new user to immerse themselves within the platform.
  • The reporting features within the platform could use an update.

Safety Skills have more safety topics but Mineral safety videos are good too. In some ways, I prefer Mineral over Shrm due to the ease of finding the templates that I am looking for. It would be nice if they had an HR conference too because I never heard of Mineral until it was introduce to use by one of our vendors.

[NEOGOV] offers a complete and modern talent management system for the Public Sector. It was built for the public sector which allows it to stand alone within the HR field. When using products such as Indeed.com and Linkedin local governments are lost within a much larger universe.

  • It has definitely been positive, but I'm not sure how I could measure the ROI. I feel it has given me more insight into certain situations, such as dealing with millennial employees, and has helped me to grow as a leader in my organization.

  • Neogov saves time for our HR operations. For example, candidates can complete pre-employment forms within the platform's Onboard feature. This saves resources (paper, ink, etc) and time allowing for a more efficient hiring process.
  • Customer Service Efficiency - Unlike many commonly used HR products (ADP, Quickbooks, etc.) Neogov understands the challenges that are unique to local governments. When needed, their customer service teams are friendly and helpful saving you the headache of explaining your particular issue.
  • Employee training features - Our employees are provided with insightful training opportunities which can be tracked and monitored annually.
