MoEngage is well suited for all tech-enabled businesses, as then one can integrate all the possible events or relevant metrics, push them on MoEngage, and then make meaningful insights out of that, and--most importantly--use those for improving their customer engagement. It's probably not suited for offline-only businesses, stores, etc.

Sendinblue

SendinBlue is great for simple email marketing, especially for small businesses. It's very easy to get the account setup and create an email compared to other services like MailChimp. It's also very user-friendly for those who may not be technically savvy. If you have a much larger scale email list or regularly import lists from outside SendinBlue, then you may want to look elsewhere. SendinBlue is great if you stay within the system, but can cause trouble if you import email lists outside of the system.

  • Scheduling certain events with an API, as we have more APIs it's become very useful

Sendinblue

  • Fast newsletter delivery to a large subscriber base
  • Fair pricing allows small companies to get use of the features with a small subscriber base and then scale up as their subscriber base grows.
  • APIs allow you to fully automate the process of generating and delivering newsletters. My web staff updates the website information, and sends the newsletter from my website back end. They do not ever even have to log in to SendinBlue. This creates a level of simplicity that prevents errors.

Sendinblue

  • Would like to have emails sent directly from our server (without extra charge). We noticed recently emails now come from sendinblue.com vs. a server with a series of numbers so this is a definite improvement!
  • Would like to see our actual subscriber base number (total minus blacklist)
  • Was initially difficult to figure out how to create newsletter signup to match the layout of our website but eventually our developer figured out a workaround.
  • Sometimes when you click on the editing box, you end up going out to the hyperlink specified instead of edit box, this is sometimes annoying.

I am a web designer and systems admin. I have not found anything with this system that was hard to use. Other systems make it hard to do simple tasks and is very limiting. SendinBlue doesn't limit you.

Everything loads very quickly, it saves as you go along so you're unlikely to loose work if your computer fails. Reports are there immediately too so you're able to act quickly on customer engagement.

These people helped me identify errors when setting up DKIM and were more than helpful in trying to diagnose low open rates with a few campaigns identifying where improvement can be made and how to more effectively manage contact lists. The support is excellent.

Haven't evaluated other tools because back then there is urgent need and expected that they could provide on of the best quality service but in fact when being pushed for the scale for the growth of the company, it seems that MoEngage team is not able to cope up with the speed.

Sendinblue

Sendinblue advertises itself as being better than Mailchimp, which if you think about it is awful advertising campaign, putting one company down to raise another. But despite this, Mailchimp actually lets people use their account for good whereas Sendinblue seems to be doing the opposite. Plus Mailchimp is easier to use and navigate around, and doesn't take a long time to set up. The only downside is that you can't have unlimited contacts which is why we changed to Sendinblue.

  • Deliverability: SIB protects their sending IP and this shows with the rate of delivery. Junk senders are cautioned, this is not the solution for you.
  • Simplicity: Cut the time it takes to get professional email campaigns out to your audience. Less time = less labor expense.
  • All in one solution allows you to capture and maintain both SMTP and SMS under one program and this has made segmentation and campaigning less annoying and tedious.
