NEOGOV Onboard is well-suited for companies who hire many candidates; especially if the Onboarding Team (HR in our case) is working remotely. NEOGOV Onboard would be less-well-suited for organizations who do not hire a lot of candidates and who are able to meet with a new hire in-person.

It is user-friendly and Improves every person's experience, decision, and process. With SAP SuccessFactors solutions, the ease with which our people data flows throughout our organization is superb. This is key to helping us ensure compliance and high data integrity throughout the employee lifecycle, such as recording attendance at a talent review.

  • The ability to utilize candidate text messaging and/or send notices via Onboard (rather than OHC/Insight) could help save time
  • It would be helpful to allow candidates to communicate with internal staff via the Mentors Widget in the Preboarding Portal, not just the Onboarding Portal

  • I think because this is such a robust and powerful product that it is quite intricate and it is quite sophisticated, so you do have to stop and take time to learn it. I don't think you can go in with any assumptions that it's like anything else you've used. It's quite intricate and involved and complex. So I think sometimes you need to take a step back and be intentional in taking time to learn it properly because in doing that you'll be able to leverage it to its fullest capacity. That's been a lesson we've learned throughout time that we really do have to slow down and take time to learn it as users and as people that support users.

This platform for human capital management is one of the best available in the Industry right now. The workflow for each facilitation offered is well-defined and time-effective. Comprehensive data management for key stakeholders is readily available for effective decision-making. Moreover, the service provider offers easy modifications and good support.

Until now we have not had serious availability problems with SuccessFactors, we had Microsoft Active Directory and SSO with ADFS and we had availability problems but because of problems with ADFS, we migrated to Azure AD and with that the availability problems of SuccessFactors because of ADFS went away. The only windows of unavailability that we have had are those that we are communicated to do maintenance and upgrades.

The performance is very good, the truth is that we have not had serious performance problems, some complex reports may take a little longer, but considering the complexity and the amount of records it is an acceptable time. We have never received a complaint from users regarding page loading speed.

SuccessFactors Employee Central gets a middle of the road rating from me because of the things it does really well - Training. It falls short with the objectives cascade and visibility amongst my reports. That's what brings it down to a 5. Objectives need to be clear and concise in order to gain buy-in from your reports, and SuccessFactors muddies that by poor delineation between cascaded attributes and my report's objectives. The whole objectives cascade can be reworked.

SAP SuccessFactors is a very user-friendly application, it stacks up very well against competition, such as Oracle PeopleSoft HCM. We selected SAP SuccessFactors because we are already using a lot of other SAP solutions, such as SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform. It allows us to have single-sign on and one vendor with multiple solutions.

  • As far as ROI, I don't know what the investment is in the product, so I can't give you an exact number of profitability, but I can tell you for ease of use, it has been a lot easier to use the product. I think the only thing that I would prefer is instead of having the print screens, I'd prefer having video modules to explain how to use the different aspects of it.
