Vonage is now a joke. 5 years ago, it worked great. Now, customer service and tech service DOES NOT EXIST! We tried over and over again to get help but they didn't speak english and would not answer our calls.
I tried both Vonage and Verizon and found Nextiva to be superior in both service delivered and support of the product. Vonage was a nightmare to get support from and Verizon kept raising the costs and then out of the blue cancelled the program.
Price is more competitive and it had just the right amount of services that I needed. Ringcentral had a few more features but they were not really usefull for our use case.

Nextiva includes fax, local number or toll-free numbers, and call recording. Very useful tools not included in other's basic plans. Conference bridge for few people may be included also in these basic Pro plans from Nextiva
We evaluated the listed cloud VOIP providers for clients and ourselves, as well as various on-premise solutions. While not perfect, Vonage had the best balance of cost, ease of use, support, reliability, and hardware offerings.
