NinjaOne is a great solution for an all-in-one software suite that will accomplish many goals in a single pain of glass. It is very beneficial for small IT teams that need to automate and jobs as much as possible. Patch management solution may not be the best if you have a large 3rd party software library. Incentivized
TotalView is well suited for an infrastructure where you are looking for a cost-effective, additive network management tool for in-depth device diagnostic information. This will not be a one-stop shop application, but it does what is advertised very well. SNMP is required for configuration and adding additional devices is quick and simple. This product also works well with Shoretel VoIP systems and allows for a full overview of connected phones along with being able to view calls on an extension/IP basis.
With Ninja, we are able to have all of our IT tools and management under one umbrella making it extremely easy to keep an eye on all of our servers and workstations.Their support team is OUTSTANDING and gives quick and helpful answers to our questions. Our account manager calls us personally to review any issues and ensure we are running smoothly.Ninja gives us automated patch management of our important devices, and has a nice security log to see what's been done.Incentivized
The setup is fast and easy - 500 devices in 20 minutes. The ability to go back a day or a week in time allows us to more easily troubleshoot the "what happened at 3 a.m. yesterday" question. It gives us easily accessible stats for checks and balances like device types, counts, models, serial number etc.
NinjaOne does support Mac, however I would like to have more options for automation and scheduled task on Mac devices.I would like it if NinjaOne also provided an MDM solution. It would be nice is NinjaOne could integrate a PAM solution as well.Incentivized
If you have some complexities in your network addressing, the network diagram tool will lay everything out automatically, but it will be confusing to look at. There is a way to edit the diagram so it looks more intuitive, but it may require some time to edit everything the right way.TotalView will count virtual interfaces such as voice dial-peers and service modules as "ports," which counts against your license count. However, there is a way to edit each device to remove these "false positives" so it doesn't suck up licenses, but it can take some time to clean those up.
Ninja's interface is clean and simple. Overall usability from an interface perspective is good. Some items, policies and scripting for instance, are a bit cumbersome and it's really not clear how to implement with a best practice mind-site. Ninja RMM got the job done for us but as we pushed our needs more into automation and efficiency we felt it wasn't keeping up with our speed of growth. There is definitely usability in the product, and it will get the job done, but there are other RMM's out there that fit better in our business.Incentivized
Support has been very responsive and my account rep Brian K. has communicated with me continuously making sure we had everything we need. Not like other MDMs where they sign you up and that's the last you hear from them. NinjaOne makes sure you use the product to its best application and you are successful and continue as the product features grow.Incentivized
Ninja is much easier to use that anything I've worked with in the past. We selected Ninja because we felt the learning curve for the team would be the fastest, and the roadmap for the product shows its evolving quickly. Can't say that for many of the other platforms I've worked with in the past. Great account management. Great Product overall.Incentivized
The three tools listed do different things with some similarities. For us the biggest need was data analysis, semi-automatic troubleshooting, and data gathering and topology mapping. TotalView hit the most of these in the price point we were looking for. Each tool has "extras," but we felt that the extras provided by TotalView were good enough and that the other tools didn't justify the cost.
Pos - Ninja has replaced 3 other software we used for monitoring, Remote AccessPos - Have deployed ticketing to end users for better tracking of issuesNeg - Nothing bad about ninja but our teams workload has increased to take care of ticket tracking -Incentivized
