OneCause
OneCause has worked great for our organization in managing special events and fundraisers. It is a great tool to organize event logistics and a great way to organize the auction components. OneCause has helped us simply plan for our fundraising gala. Aside from this, my department has not utilized OneCause in any other way.

Qgiv
Qgiv is great for small businesses or large companies that are looking for a user-friendly software to use to process donations, sale items or simply use a tool for peer-to-peer fundraising. The customer is by far the best service I have ever received and the baseline data is easy to export for donor cultivation purposes

Pros
OneCause
- OneCause keeps you organized and on top of details big and small. The checklist feature is hugely helpful and having an individual working on your event with you to point out things you may have missed or not realized you needed is a huge benefit.
- The accounting post-event is sorted in a variety of ways making it easy to find [the] info you're looking for like breaking down specific donor traits.
- Including ways to market and communicate for the event is vital for success. You can preschedule and customize messages to specific groups right in the platform so it's tracked and event-specific. I love the functionality and ease that provides!

Cons
OneCause
- larger photos for items in an auction/ different page layout so its easier to see and click into each item.
- more integrations- less manual work
- easier user interface- sometimes very clunky and hard to navigate through
- ability to connect donors and winning bidders directly through the platform

Qgiv
- I don't have any suggestions here - they treated me like royalty - anything I didn't understand they walked me through and when I forgot it the next time and had to ask again - they acted like that was common - putting me at ease to call them back any and every time I need them.

It is ultimately not my call, and we are switching Donor CRMs/fundraising platforms so not sure what that will mean for OneCause.

The customer service and help center is extremely helpful. I cannot give enough accolades about how easy it is to get advice or help on any aspect of their products. The systems themselves are very user friendly and easy to navigate. They also provided us with extensive training and guidance when we were first time users

Live customer service can be a little bit difficult to reach which can increase stress under certain circumstances but overall customer support is excellent their knowledgeable friendly and very helpful and they do their best to respond to customer requests for support timely and appropriately. I think overall support deserves a high rating.

Customer support is amazing - they're very prompt, thoughtful in their response, and are clearly trying to help you problem solve, not just find a quick fix.

I don't know if my insights are key but I can say that implementation was done in-house without any outside support for the solution. The staff influencing the solution had very little technical expertise and ability as well which showed just how easily the software was to implement.

Alternatives Considered
OneCause
The biggest draw for us was OneCause's silent auction offering. We had been doing silent auctions on paper for the last four years and we were looking to update our process and draw in more bids with added convenience. OneCause was able to create a one-stop-shop for us where we could have all of our Gala offerings in a central location.

Qgiv is by far a better product. No hidden fees and the team of developers continue to make updates that are relevant to keeping the software competitive and user-friendly. Also, customer service is a 10 out of 10 when it comes to troubleshooting different software scenarios. Finally, the ability to export and import is a basic and awesome necessity.

Return on Investment
OneCause
- I am able to reach many more donors via our online auction than at an in-person event.
- Closing out an auction and collecting payment is infinitely easier than running an auction on paper.
- Guests enter all their own information including credit cards making it very easy to manage the event as a single event director.

- For the price, it's a solidly positive ROI for its functionality as a credit card processor. Prior to Qgiv we used MobileCause and I think the impact of the change has been neutral.
- Even though the integration with Exceed Beyond isn't perfect, it's still an improvement over entering all the data by hand. Saving time is hard to calculate, but I would say it has probably dropped our donation entry time by at least 10%.
