OneSite Leasing and Rents is great for a decent-sized portfolio for all property management industries. While I currently use it for the Student Housing sector, I could see it doing the same functions in a Conventional and/or Senior space. I would not say OneSite is suitable for small property management businesses.

RealPage Portfolio Asset Management is great at working with the other programs that most other leasing or management companies work with. This program is able to export and import custom information to make sure you get the whole picture of what is happening in your communities. This program is great for any leasing team or management team that is looking for a one-stop-shop solution and likes to rely on data-driven numbers.

  • Limited accessibility - Various functions are only available through Internet Explorer.
  • Reporting errors - Lately OneSite has experienced several errors within their reporting that have taken a decent amount of time to where it is affected business operations.
  • Customer service - OneSite's general customer service line could use some overall improvement in the process it takes to resolve routine issues.

  • There are a few issues we have experienced where the program crashes when it is overloaded and trying to complete too much.
  • The reporting platform could use some work. We didn't find anything necessarily wrong with it, but there could be more additions and a few things streamlined to make things better.
  • This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I would like to see more options for graphs, charts, and other visualizations in the reporting and custom reporting. There are already some good options, but I would love to see more.

The support could use several improvements overall. Often times the agents you are speaking to go through a really slow and tedious troubleshooting process and when you attempt to explain what you've already tried, they still insist you begin at the beginning. The support you get doesn't always match the problem you are trying to solve and they have no online chat option available which is difficult when trying to resolve an issue and not having the time to spend on hold on the phone.

RealPage support is something that I have only had positive experiences with so far. Like reaching any companies support channels, there can be times when it takes a little time to get in touch with someone, but never more than what I would expect while reaching out to any other similar software provider. I have also had experiences where my tickets are responded to very quickly, so overall a good rating. Every company could use some improvement in their support teams, but RealPage does a good job of supporting their customers.

OneSite Leasing and Rents

I have only ever used a company made software and Yardi (for a short time). So I'm not too familiar with other software applications. However, in my experience, they all seem to operate very similarly. Most of the reporting and basic functions need to be universal for daily operations. Outside of that, I feel each has an equal amount of pros and cons to their software.

RealPage Portfolio Asset Management

Adding a rider to a lease on one property or several properties can be a headache and support is not very responsive. You can always use the customizable rider option, but on many occasions that portion is needed for something else and it shouldn't be used instead of a rider which should be permanent. This is extremely frustrating when leases have to be made in a timely matter; however, this is a support issue rather than a software issue. A mobile app would be amazinggggg and/or a more user-friendly mobile web experience.
