Likelihood to Recommend The entire deployment and configuration stage was easy and it was accessible across the organization in a matter of days. Oracle Analytics Server being a cloud-based solution helped right from Input of Bulk Data to Info preparation, Data cleaning, and finally Data Modeling. Everything was visual and the Help Wizard was very intuitive.
Read full review SAP Analytics Cloud is great for big companies that want advanced data analysis and planning, especially when they need to work together in real-time or when people need to access data on their phones. It's like a super tool for predicting future trends in industries like retail or finance. SAC also works well for companies that use different types of computer systems because it can easily connect them. But, for small businesses that only need basic reports or don't have a lot of technical resources, a simpler tool might be better. If a company doesn't always have a good internet connection or if they're just starting with analytics, there might be other tools that work better.

An offline mode for SAC could be valuable for users who need to access and analyze data without an internet connection. Additionally, optimizing performance for large datasets and complex visualizations would contribute to a smoother user experience. In the future, if we go with Hyperion for the Financial Consolidation and planning purposes -BI integration with Hyperion is going to be much simpler as it has native interface connectivity and even integration capabilities with well known CRM products (Siebel) and ERP Products (Oracle EBS, Peoplesoft, SAP) is going to be easy and straight forward.

In general, SAP has provided us with great customer support, let it be for a specific product of SAP or for integration of different modules.

On the other hand, connecting it to third party solutions brings difficulties when there's no previous design and the objetives are not clear. Read full review Alternatives Considered Oracle BI works pretty well and has been well acknowledged and appreciated by the business users and power users who develop reports and dashboards. Compared to other tools, Oracle BI object development is easier and has a quick turnout. Using Oracle BI with Essbase and Oracle Exadata db, we believe the performance rendering data is quite good. We are using
MicroStrategy as well almost equally, but for critical reporting needs considering the back end is Oracle and Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) we have chosen OBIEE.

When coupled with different SAP systems, Analytics Cloud has a common dataset architecture; this software also includes improved analytics capabilities.

Read full review Return on Investment We've used OBIEE (or it's previous named product) for over 13 years and it's still the most used tool for BI by the business. We moved our largest business system off of Business Object into OBI so we could gain improved performance, reliability, and easier management of metadata.
