Likelihood to Recommend Paycom (Perry Watson) has been the most reliable one-on-one person that I, in 33 years, have ever had to work with. Paycom's platform is great, user-friendly, and easy to explain to employees who are not tech-savvy. Employees love the part where they get to see their check and approve it before they ever receive it. Our company is very different, and Paycom has helped me build a system where it is going to save time and money going forward.

If you are not a comp expert, they have experts on hand that can help you through projects or just answer basic questions.
Read full review Pros Customer Support- Jaco Lau and Jeff Sullins have been highly responsive to all of our needs and customizations Customization capabilities - we have had to build an End-To-End performance management system that now fits and meets our needs Functionality - the tools and intuitive use of Paycom makes for a great user-experience. Our employees are already embracing it and have expressed gratitude for moving to this new platform. Read full review Their customer service is fantastic. I absolutely adore my Relationship Success Manager, I still have a great relationship with the Account Executive that brought us on board. The tool has some hiccups but overall, of the three tools I demo'ed, it is the most user friendly. PayScale is transparent about the issues they are experiencing and what is on the horizon for improvements of the tool. We all expect some things to go a little wrong or not be the as user friendly as WE THINK it should be, and I appreciate that PayScale acknowledges that and is transparent about what's in the works for improvements along the way. I like the ability to customize pay structures, create favorites, and create new jobs on the fly. I've really enjoyed working in the tool and I'm excited to get our data cleaned up so that we can use all PayScale reporting and dashboards have to offer. Read full review Cons Update alert system for employees. When and employee misses a clock in so he/she requests a missed punch correction, the alert saying missed punch will continue to pop up at the employee until a manager approves said punch request. It confuses employees and makes them think they didn't request the punch so they do it again. It should not keep alerting said employee if he/she made a change to fix it. If anything, it should alert the manager until said requests are approved and/or denied. Provide the employees pay rate in the edit grid layout section of payroll Read full review Job titles can prove to be a challenge as they sometimes do not connect as well as you'd hope. This may require some extra work on our part to fit our needs into what Payscale provides. Generally, this is a small concern, but it is still something that should be updated to keep with some of the changes in titles/roles. It would be great if Payscale offered an online tool/area for watching recorded webinars or training sessions rather than having to do it live. As others have mentioned, with a busy schedule, it is sometimes challenging to find the time to watch live. Having a database would help ensure that the training can be accessed at any time. Options to perhaps break down some of the data in reports to provide to others who are less versed in the contents of the report and the overall system. I'd prefer to have to explain less of what is presented and let the data speak for itself where possible. Read full review Likelihood to Renew We've made the mistake of moving away from Paycom to a PEO which had made a lot of promises, that they could not keep. Less than a year after that transition, we returned to Paycom and are happier than ever.
Read full review Usability The system is very user friendly. Once you navigate where your information is stored under the forms you are golden. While the training amplified my capabilities and knowledge, I could have jumped into the system without and training and managed just fine. This probably one of my favorite parts about Paycom!
Read full review It is user-friendly and easy to learn.
Read full review Reliability and Availability They are very dependable and I have never experience any outages
Read full review Performance It is a solid product and was out first payroll software that we have used
Read full review Support Rating Our TSR has been wonderful to work with. Every step of the way he was quick to respond and answer any questions we had. I knew I could reach him at any time (day or night) and he would be available to assist. Implementing a new HRIS system is obviously a huge task and I contribute all our success to our rep Kurt! Of course, with any implementation, there were bumps along the way and issues. But I always knew we would work as a team to get those issues figured out. Working in the Paycom system has been smooth and easy to learn and I enjoy the employee self-service interface. Our managers have had positive things to say and are all excited about the changes we have been able to make to our organization due to Paycom being implemented.
Read full review Never had any issues with customer support as they are very responsive. The system is very reliable, therefore, we rarely interact with their customer support.
Read full review In-Person Training They were a sales person and not really a good trainer.
Read full review Online Training All the online training modules were short and straight to the point. Every module teach you how to use the system. If there is one thing they know how to do is training. We did implementation during the pandemic so all had to be done online or via zoom meetings.
Read full review Implementation Rating Not at all satisfied it was a nightmare we spent over 8 months with the implementation team having issues after issues all related to the Puerto Rico regulations (half my employees are in Puerto Rico) and at the end we were moved over from the implementation team to the production team without all the issues being resolved
Read full review Alternatives Considered Paycom's customer service model surpasses ADP's by leaps and bounds. I went from spending significant amounts of time on the phone with ADP customer service to contacting my Paycom specialist on as needed basis. Paycom is also far more intuitive to use that
ADP Workforce Now and I have much more control in the system than I did previously. Paycom's reporting capabilities are also outstanding in comparison to ADP's. The system as a whole is overall a superior product in comparison to what we utilized previously
Read full review Both PayScale and
Paycom were pretty comparable, but I liked the detail and sophistication of PayScale a little more. Because PayScale has a place to enter in info on both the job and the market, we went with this software. The other factor I took into consideration was that I was already using PayScale and didn't have to enter the entire company's data
Read full review Scalability They are not able to meet our current needs
Read full review Return on Investment Saved time, 2 person HR department so time is limited. With reduced time for onboarding we have been able to focus on other areas. Improved employee satisfaction- employees enjoy the ease of use of the system and the ability to use on their phones. Reduced background check/drug screening costs- prior providers were absorbent in the amount we paid compared to Paycom. Read full review PayScale has allowed us to better target our compensation strategy, which has reigned in managers who were increasing pay MUCH quicker than necessary. The changes we've made over the past couple of years have allowed us to pinpoint areas of need. For example, we adjusted our starting pay for our primary job class and reduced turnover from over 60% to under 30% in 18 months. Reduced turnover is a clear positive impact on ROI.
