SAP Master Data Governance also maintains data integrity. It also provides ease of managing master data. Area for SAP Master Data Governance to improve upon is UI (User Interface). WebDynpro UI is very slow and needs improvement.

However, especially for a new user it may be difficult to manage all aspects of the program without adequate and comprehensive training. Even when the training is complete, the users may need support for details throughout the process. IT is a useful software which is difficult to manage in a short time

We did not evaluate any COTS product as an alternative. We have evaluated internal process changes as an option. However, [SAP Master Data Governance] solution provided far greater value for money than any process improvements. That being said, [Master Data Governance] is not an alternative to good process. It compliments good data management and well defined processes. Engaging experienced consultants will improve outcomes of [Master Data Governance] implementation.
