Salesgenie is great for business to consumer. If you are a financial adviser, insurance sales rep or solar sales, this is an ideal low-cost database that will help significantly. However, if you sell Business to Business, I would not recommend this product. It is not geared toward corporate structure and doesn't provide any value.

ZoomInfo

ZoomInfo is great for companies looking to add another great tool to your sales, marketing, and potentially data team's arsenal. That said, if you're looking for clients that are startups, are small businesses (less than 10M in revenue, less than 10 employees, etc.) - it may not be the best fit for now

  • Some of the addresses are incorrect, or the phone number.
  • I wish they would, in addition, provide the name of current managers as opposed to the owner of the building. And social media links as well.
  • I would like to see square footage of the building, the year the building was established, and the type of ceilings they have.

  • Often I run into people who are no longer with that company. There is no way to flag for errors or make changes.
  • Often there are people who are not in ZoomInfo.
  • ZoomInfo can't import data from its website on the lower version of Salesforce.
  • The Salesforce version of ZoomInfo is more difficult to use. I find I often have to import one person at a time.
  • I have huge pressure to perform better because the cost is so high for this product.

With the combined resources of crowdsorced info on both data.com as well as the immediacy of info on LinkedIn, as well as intel on Hoovers, information provided on ZoomInfo is more readily available if you have the time to invest in looking for it. However, at the pace we do business, having a "one stop shop" for information is very convenient. On efficiency alone, ZoomInfo is worth the price of subscription considering our business model.

ZoomInfo

I honestly haven't used anything quite similar to ZoomInfo except for LinkedIn Sales Navigator (which seems to be the most similar thing to ZoomInfo - but it's still wildly different). I typically find relevant contacts on LinkedIn, but then to actually get their contact info, there's nothing I've ever used that is even close to ZoomInfo in terms of quality or depth of data and accuracy.

  • I have been able to call more prospects and email them faster since I was able to find their info easily.
  • A lot of times I will spend more time than necessary trying to verify where someone works because I'm not sure of the validity of the data on ZoomInfo.
  • I have been able to grow my own territory's prospect list because I can now add phone numbers and emails in an effective manner.
