SAP is best suited for large global corporations. It is a very complex software and is difficult to come by individuals who have sufficient enough knowledge to master the product. Globally our company only has 1 person to support us in IT for SAP. It is great if you use a more complex web host such as SFCC as you can make connections to SAP for returns, inventory, price updates, etc.

No doubt SAP S/4HANA Cloud is the best cloud solution for SAP products which can be easily integrated, but the main issue is you can not use in other non-SAP products for getting same result. Also if you are migrating from ECC to SAP S/4HANA Cloud then it's good but if you are planning to move from legacy applications then bit complex. We are facing such issues while doing it currently.

Cons
SAP
  • Need to have a good understanding of the SAP ecosystem to implement and use it.
  • From a cost perspective it can be little bit on the expensive side for enterprises.
  • The platform is still new and hence more subjected to bugs. But support for it is always good from the SAP team.

  • I would like to have an offline functionality as well which is not available at the moment.
  • I would like to see in-built templates that can be used according to organization needs and have to be industry specific.
  • Navigation of this platform is quite difficult to learn and requires training. So, new users will find learning a steep curve.

The cost of SAP as an ERP is quite high and the switching costs associated with ERP systems are even higher. That being said moving from one ERP to another only happens once in a great while for large organizations. Those switching costs include retraining, IT hardware requirements, outside consultants and more

It is one of the best tools and a boon to Logistics teams across the globe. One tends to actually process warehousing data so smoothly and the way demonstration is made while in programs it makes it user friendly. The Inventory touch points that one identify is simply awesome and is best part.

SAPs usability is great. If there is one ERP where one can adjust about anything there is to be adjusted, this is SAP. This sometimes also means having to maintain some extra master data, but this is to be expected and is well worth the extra effort. We wouldn't have it any other way!

I would greatly acknowledge the services of Sap Data [warehouse Cloud] because we were struggling before its arrival where we used to get manual data connections and this used to consume a lot of time but after its use, we now are able to connect data easily saving a lot of time and finances.

The technical support received by the ITT design teams and OS implementation team has been very useful in ensuring that the SAP ERP is well-tailored to our company's specific needs and operations. This coupled with the training materials, business process maps, and concept demos (sand-box demos) makes adoption easy on end-users.

SAP requires
a lot of internal and external resources to complete its successful
implementation. The cloud version requires a deeper understanding of the
different capabilities of the local systems (hardware) and the connection
towards your local IT team. We found several problems on our systems that we
couldn't foresee before the implementation and roll out.

Each of these listed software has its own unique strength and capacity that scales well.
