The integration between the recruitment module and employee central is a big problem. There are a few features that are missing. There are specific features on the HTM, such as telecom safety, that just isn't there. It's not a very detailed solution in that sense. However, it is not expected to have those kinds of features on the surface level of the product.

It is good for top-down communication and engagement (centrally controlled with a handful of power users) and should not be confused with just a regular message tool like Google Chat.

- Getting employees trained on the product is an essential part of process change management. With SuccessFactors, there are so many possibilities, it is imperative that all employees are trained. Untrained users may not be able to use the tool to its fullest potential and may encounter difficulties as they attempt to use it.
- To create reports that can use data from multiple modules, reporting tools must be easier to use and have more controls over date ranges and capabilities. - Make the Position Management equal to or better than SAP R/3 Organization Management.
- After changing to a twice-yearly release schedule, I have noticed that the releases have become somewhat unstable in terms of testing all the pieces in a timely manner.

Support is still lacking. If we don't have a critical business need where we're looking to license something new, there is no partnership with SuccessFactors. Unless of course you purchase the Platinum Support which we did not. It is difficult for us to take advantage of new functionality when we have professional services fees that will be incurred as a result. We're in a tough economy and our budgets are slim. We don't have wiggle room to add $5k here or $10k there. The overall integration into a total HCM solution is also lacking.

SuccessFactors Employee Central gets a middle of the road rating from me because of the things it does really well - Training. It falls short with the objectives cascade and visibility amongst my reports. That's what brings it down to a 5. Objectives need to be clear and concise in order to gain buy-in from your reports, and SuccessFactors muddies that by poor delineation between cascaded attributes and my report's objectives. The whole objectives cascade can be reworked.

SuccessFactors provides more positives and greater tools than the software's I have references.The bandwidth and capabilities fare outweigh the competitors. The out of the box capabilities seem to be more than the other systems and less money spent on getting what was needed to run our business. I would encourage others to consider reviewing SuccessFactors as their HRIS.

- The software has greatly improved our recruiting process. We could not manage the amount of positions and candidates without it. The recruiting module handles every step for us in the process form submitting an application to the final offer stage.
- We were able to institute a formal performance review process for the first time in the company's history because of this software. Participation in this program has grown from 300 employees to over 1600. SuccessFactors allows us to track and measure employee performance across the company and deliver those results to our key leaders.
