StoriesOnBoard

As mentioned earlier, we also use StoriesOnBoard to create other processes (customer and employee journey). We use the swim lanes to differentiate between measures, tools and processes and working with them is very easy and understandable for this purpose.
Less easy is the use of context, i.e. when one part of a story map depends on another story map. This cannot be avoided (at least for us) to avoid creating redundancy (and the risk of creating different stages). At appropriate places, we refer to the other map in the title.

StorIQ

Keeping in view of all the advantages and disadvantages of StorIQ, I think that StorIQ is still, a great platform because it gives users a lot of opportunities and liberty to do things their way. I would also recommend StorIQ because it has great customer service that guides you through everything from the onboarding process to delivering the final step.

StorIQ

  • StorIQ has a great small team that tries and does its best to keep users like me satisfied.
  • StorIQ has a reduced cost because of its streamlined management process which I think is a great facet about StorIQ that has benefitted even those who have a small budget.
  • I personally feel that StorIQ also has a good aspect of activity planning which gives StorIQ the opportunity to drive productivity with different tools that are used for labor management.

Cons

StoriesOnBoard

  • Switching the view to a vertical mode (easier to scroll).
  • Better availability of information on user story mapping.
  • Possibility to link to activities and steps from other maps (Context).

StorIQ

  • StorIQ has several positive aspects which cannot be undermined but still, there are certain disadvantages that also cannot be overlooked.
  • The pricing point of StorIQ is a little high which makes it difficult for all types of users to access it.

Usability

StoriesOnBoard

StoriesOnBoard 7.3
Based on 1 answer
StoriesOnBoard works really well; all features are well thought through. It could look a bit fresher, although the new updated dashboard is already much better than it was.

Alternatives Considered

StoriesOnBoard

The only other competitor we looked at was cardboardit.com. Both had solid functionality, but StoriesOnBoard was more user-friendly and quick to learn and use in our opinion.

StorIQ

StorIQ is one of the best task management as well as retail operations software that has so many advantages for all users. It just brings together all sorts of activities like visual merchandising, store communications, and task management so seamlessly that the software eventually becomes your favorite. StorIQ has a great advantage of team engagement where they train store teams while building and developing an engaging work environment that shares social life and different engagement tools.

Return on Investment

StoriesOnBoard

  • StoriesOnBoard (and story mapping in general) creates a low-cost visual method of aligning on high-level business and technical requirements early in a project and provides an ongoing reference as the project progresses. Having this alignment is critical for the later stages of the project.

StorIQ

  • StorIQ has been streamlining communication and performing task management tasks efficiently and effectively for my business for a long time and that is why I find it a good platform.
  • Sometimes the user gets unstructured feedback which is also discouraging for the user sometimes. Even though StorIQ has a very simple, clear and worth praising retail operation system but in a very few instances, I felt that this part needs further improvement.
