ZoomInfo Sales
Chose ZoomInfo Sales
We were able to eliminate Nexi & Avention because ZoomInfo is able to give us more complete and accurate information.
Chose ZoomInfo Sales
LinkedIn is more accurate but requires more effort. OneSsource info is more accurate when it comes to size and description of a company (Zoominfo is weak on both of these), but the names are far less accurate, and they rarely if ever provide an email address.

We use [Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE] to prepare federal and state income tax returns which allows us to complete the work assigned very quickly and allow senior members of the team to review the work before submitting in a very fluid state. While not in the tax or busy season, the program is not as used as much.

I have found it to work best combined with LinkedIn Sales Nav. I use the filters on the sales navigation search to find people I wish to target, then use the sidebar to export individuals with the correct information into our CRM quickly. That is my bread-and-butter play as a BDR; I'm in there every day. It is also helpful to quickly check a company's revenue and employee count.

Pros
Thomson Reuters
  • ONESOURCE is excellent for providing a holistic suite of products that are specifically geared toward tax compliance.
  • ONESOURCE also does an excellent job of maintaining a fresh look and appearance to their products, but doesn't change the base functionality just to sell more or improve the look of the product.
  • ONESOURCE also does an excellent job of maintaining current tax information. In an ever changing tax world, this is the most important thing for a piece of tax software to provide.

ZoomInfo
  • Zoominfo provides us scoops regarding any new upcoming project or pain points (difficulties) facing by certain companies which helps a lot in our business to contact such companies.
  • Zoominfo gives us the exaction info such as email address, Direct or Cell phone number of particular contact which we want and we don't get anywhere except zoominfo
  • Zoominfo has huge database. Intent is one of the favorite section where we get the exact info about the companies/industries which we want
  • Zoominfo Connects with Hubspot which is another benefit for us to add any specific contact directly to our HubSpot app.

Cons
Thomson Reuters
  • ONESOURCE absolutely needs to restore their TIN Matching feature. Not having a TIN Matching feature is huge and needs to be addressed immediately.
  • The software interface itself is outdated and clunky. It is way behind in terms of user-friendliness and convenience. Additionally, it is only compatible with Internet Explorer. ONESOURCE is literally the only reason I would ever access Internet Explorer which is notably slower and more prone to freezing than Google Chrome or Safari. A good portion of our business uses Macs which means they are SOL on accessing ONESOURCE.
  • The ability to look at multiple tax years for a single recipient would be huge. Currently, if a recipient asks us to pull three years of data, this means three different searches within each year's ONESOURCE instance. It's tedious and could be improved.

  • For initial users, the system can be a little overwhelming. A ZoomInfor SalesOS Basics guide could be beneficial to keep new users from feeling lost amongst all the options.
  • Clearer instructions on how to set targeted search parameters for inbound information would be beneficial.

To reiterate - a very useful tool for private company information, otherwise not forthcoming on the public domain. It is very crucial in Company analyses for various lenses, slices and dices of Company information. Also useful in industry analysis and in list building. Overall a great research and analytics tool.

I'm not the contact. But I see it is where things are moving and if you don't have the information ZoomInfo gathers and continues to be more honed in on our customer or prospective customers, we will lose any advantages we once had and will be left behind.

Overall super simple to use. You do not need any training to use it, just a couple of minutes as it is very intuitive. I love using it because it has everything in one place except cadence. The filters on accounts and prospects is very easy to use as well.

Support Rating
Thomson Reuters
The ONESOURCE support has improved significantly over the years. Support sends out emails with the answer provided which helps in the future when the same issue occurs. This reduces the amount of calls to ONESOURCE Support as you can better document the calls and rely on previous answers if the same issue occurs. ONESOURCE support has also implemented a callback feature that reduces the amount of time spent on hold.

I would give it a higher rating but they keep changing our account managers.

There would have nice while providing a great platform to use, to have an in person class to show how it would best serve us and to navigate. Nothing was provided to myself outside of having a sign on and the preloaded steps to get through basic processes

As I said it is an easy-to-use platform and saved us time and money. They have great customer service and have helped our company get new hires checked and in-service faster than our old company. By combining the two services in one place it has made it easier for the new hire and the HR staff to track results. I am a fan!

There’s a few not listed. All in all, ZoomInfo Sales is an essential tool if you’re hunting hard and often. The AI functionality is superior to anything else I’ve used. However, if you’re a come and go, now and then prospector you can get by with other search engines that are “static” or seeming to be lacking in current data. LI Sales Nav is great, but you’re not going to get ahold of normal mid level people on there, and contact details are protected. The biggest competitive benefit here is you get everything you could possibly want to know, I’m not aware of any other product that can hang.

  • Zoominfo Sales has reduced our company research effort by at least 80%. We now have all the information in one place.
  • TAM (total addressable market) data accuracy is significant.
  • AOP planning is flawless, i.e., allocating budget, sales resources, etc., by territory.
