UpLead and ZoomInfo both help businesses track down new sales leads, but they also have some standout features that set them apart from each other.

UpLead provides a high quality contact database that helps businesses target buyers in specific industries or from specific locations.  UpLead’s database is ideal for businesses that want to hone in on a specific market. Additionally, UpLead provides powerful features for email verification, ensuring that the emails on a businesses contact list are valid, resulting in lower email bounce rate. 

ZoomInfo provides a huge contact database with over 113 million business emails.  For businesses that want to reach the largest number of people, ZoomInfo’s contact database is hard to match.  Additionally, ZoomInfo includes built in plugins for common sales and marketing software such as SalesForce and Marketo.

Limitations

Though UpLead and ZoomInfo can both provide businesses with a variety of business contacts, they also have a few limitations that are important to consider.

UpLead provides high quality contact data for multiple industries, but it doesn’t offer the volume of contacts available through ZoomInfo.  Businesses concerned primarily with having the most contacts possible may prefer ZoomInfo.  Additionally, UpLead includes integrations with many popular sales tools, but it isn’t as advanced as the plugins included with ZoomInfo.

ZoomInfo provides one of the largest commercially available contact databases, but it can be difficult to reach specific niches for marketing campaigns.  Businesses targeting a niche group of buyers may prefer the high quality data included in UpLead’s database.

Pricing

ZoomInfo does not offer detailed pricing information publicly, but businesses can reach out to the vendor for a detailed quote.

UpLead offers several business plans, starting at $99.00 per month for 200 credits that can be used for marketing tasks.  As plans increase up to $399.00 per month they include more credits.  With each plan, additional credits can be purchased as needed.

On the other hand, businesses that don't require searching up a huge amount of contact data and that doesn't add up to the sales of a business do not need to use this software.

With the combined resources of crowdsorced info on both data.com as well as the immediacy of info on LinkedIn, as well as intel on Hoovers, information provided on ZoomInfo is more readily available if you have the time to invest in looking for it. However, at the pace we do business, having a "one stop shop" for information is very convenient. On efficiency alone, ZoomInfo is worth the price of subscription considering our business model.

High-quality, targeted and verified lead generation was a challenge for us but UpLead has made this a very easy task with even better quality results than we anticipated. Uplead is very straightforward to use. It allows you to create a filtered view of leads based on the industry, job title (including particular ones), company, region. It saves a lot of time of mine by providing the exact leads I'm looking for.

The size of data base, the bounce rate and accuracy. The extra features that you can have and the customer service. Whenever I have a question or help with something, my account manager is always available to help. And most importantly, the difference was the price. Although Zoominfo is not cheapest, it is the best value for your money.

  • I haven't been using UpLead long but I have generated interest in our company with several large accounts. Each one of them can add several million in revenue to our company.
  • A huge time saver is to be able to send out email blasts to potential clients I've downloaded from UpLead.
  • Securing any one of the prospects I'm working on through UpLead can easily pay for the investment 10 times over.
  • Most of the salespeople in our company are asking me where I'm getting my leads from.

  • Negative - In my experience, exports error but credits deduct. Trying to get these credits back, good luck getting a customer service rep to assist.
  • Negative - In my experience, information provided for 0-5 employee companies inaccurate
  • Negative - In my opinion, due to not being able to get the information and not honoring their guarantee, no revenue goals were met.
  • Negative - I feel, for this size prospect, there is no time savings. You will still need to manually research the company on other sites or by cold calling to get the missing information.
