a bit easier to use than Raven. Web ceo really does a great job at historical reporting and the interface is a bit nicer for that, but SEOmoz has better features

Chose WebCEO
WEB CEO covers many aspects of SEO both onsite and off-site. We have used a wide selection of tools and found that using WEB CEO covers everything we need. Some tools we have used are too niche and specialise in one or the other.

Chose WebCEO
It isn't the best bit of software. It does have its charming touches, but when it comes down to it, it is going to struggle against the big boys. SEO Monitor will eat it for breakfast. I think a few decent UK tweaks could make this into a true contender
Chose WebCEO
We use different tools for different aspects of SEO, but WebCEO stacks up to all of them for most applications and could be used as a single tool for a majority of SEOs. For a specialty and advanced agency-level SEO, it is one in a suite of other tools that I recommend.
Chose WebCEO
Web CEO stacks up adequately against other basic ranking reporting tools. We ultimately chose Web CEO for its competitive ranking reporting and control over building keyword groups and labeling keyword sets. It also integrates the best into our reporting than other platforms' …
Chose WebCEO
Web CEO is very good against the alternatives. It has a better interface, more alternatives to tracking sites, and lots of opportunities to apply but it fails when we talk about social signs and social insights. But overall it’s one of the best online software products in the …
Chose WebCEO
Web CEO is just as effective as any tool out there. The main focus is on website performance related to keywords and other SEO indicators (back links, content marketing, visitor data). The company is loyal to their customers and are regularly providing updates and improvements …

I have used all these tools below:
  • RavenTools is great but if you need daily keyword tracking, or even at a local level then Raventools can't provide this.
  • Ahrefs can give you even more data than Web CEO on your backlinks, but you can find almost everything from Ahrefs already in …

Businesses looking to keep track of their web presence and utilize a tool to identify areas of opportunity. The trends tracking and competitor modeling allow businesses to be able to build an SEO strategy that they can track progress over time and fill in content gaps. This is used by our company in conjunction with our marketing automation tool and Google's web presence suite (eg. Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager).

If you are just wanting to have a web page without any idea of wanting to gain exposure for it via Google or social media channels then WebCEO is probably not for you. However, if you are like me and my Graceful Touch blog project where building a stronger and stronger backbone of digital success is important to you then WebCEO is without question your number one place to go.

Pros
iContact
  • It finds relevant keywords and lets you know your chance of ranking with them.
  • It helps you find content that needs work to rank better.
  • It helps you improve any technical issues with your web pages.
  • It helps you audit your current site for any technical issues.

  • The on-page optimization tools help a lot in researching competitor keywords, competitor traffic, and backlinks and Google search queries. We are able to compile this data to enhance online content and optimize our promotional channels.
  • Keeping track of a wide array of functions with tools that show us what has been done and with percentages of completion. This helps us to share tasks like projects with team members so they can easily see which parts o their work still need attention
  • Providing our clients, and our sales crew, with detailed as well as Summary data for explaining to clients what areas of their sites need attention and how their campaigns are succeeding (or lacking) in different geographical areas.

Cons
iContact
  • Some of the auto-gen visual tables aren't all that useful for smaller companies. For instance on the Search Visibility tab, many of my clients have a tiny % of keywords in the top-10, so the table shows basically 4 overlaid flat lines. I wish we had some options to customize this table or expand the range or something.
  • I wish there were some more tools relating to the technical aspects of the site/pages. The whole tool is very keyword-oriented, which is fine, but I feel like over time this has become and will continue to be less important than technical aspects, site speed, voice search, etc.
  • There's an Anchor Text tab, but it only looks at Inbound links—I wish this feature was for on-site anchor text—this could be a much better optimization tool. Because there's nothing you can do about inbound link text.

  • Its hard to say any negatives on WEB CEO, probably that there are so many tools to use haha! However as previously mentioned the support team are only a click away to help explain anything.
  • The dashboard can be overwhelming with a lot of metrics displayed. This can be customised though to display what you want. The same goes for the menu items, a lot of useful tools! But just have to learn the layout and where everything is located.

We've been paying monthly for Moz for at least four years. We rely heavily on it for our daily work, and would need to re-engineer many of our processes if we were to cancel our subscription. I suspect we'll continue to use Moz as long as we are in business (assuming they maintain their quality).

I didn't even hesitate to renew my subscription to Web CEO. It has become the #1 tool in my arsenal and I use it at work, on my personal projects, everywhere! I literally don't know what I would do if I didn't have access to this software anymore. This software has been crucial in the success of my clients and my websites.

Usability

it's easy to use once you get the hang of it and most people with any sort of background in using online tools and analytics systems can figure it out. it's just not as intuitive as it could be like google webmaster tools or Adobe (Site Catalyst)

In general it is easy to use. Some of the functions take a little getting used to and first time through it is not obvious what needs to be set up first. It would be a great improvement to have a central setup screen where all of the data required by each module could be entered in one go.

As I have mentioned before, if you have enterprise subscription, the staff are super helpful. Moz also participated in the marketing tech conferences especially moz in seattle. These sessions are super useful in helping digital marketing analyst like me to investigate new marketing techniques, tracking leads and conversions and eventually monetize them. Their staff is not only knowledgeable in their own product but they have been around. For example Dr Peter from moz always publishes his insights and I have relied somewhat on his opinions.

Most support networks focus on answering questions as WebCEO does. With my experience with WebCEO, I now call those the average support providers. Then there are the exceptional support providers who really go to the next level in making sure you are taken care of. While WebCEO certainly does this I've decided to remove them from qualifying at this level. Instead, I made a whole new category for their support called extraordinarily amazing. They respond in a timely fashion. Offer great value along the way. But then even have fun what with their unnecessary but great graphics that they include in their support. This is the upper edge of everything and leaves me with a huge smile on my face.

You can start using Web CEO in under 5 minutes so the implementation is very minimal. Simply setup your projects for your sites, hook them up to Google Analytics and your good to go. You can start analyzing data and viewing keyword tracking results in no time at all.

Moz emerged as an industry leader with a great reputation for driving optimal SEO performance and ROI for customers. Moz' thought leadership on all things SEO gave us a lot of confidence to invest and partner with them. The wide array of product features was also something that was important to us relative to Moz' competitors. In the end, we felt there wasn't anything we couldn't do with Moz. We were also impressed with the on demand platform training and tools provided from day 1. Lastly, Moz was one of the more expensive platforms, but it wasn't the most expensive, so we felt we received great value for the overall price.

Of course, each of these tools has its pros and cons, but Web CEO provides by far the most insights about your website and your competitors and helps you to take informed action to improve your ranking and site traffic.

  • Here I can easily find competitor's ranking keywords and their backlinks. It also gives you another exciting feature where you can compare two domains at the same time.
  • The thing that I don't like about this software is, that sometimes your page can take too much time for crawling.

WebCEO
  • I would say that as a tool. Web CEO has a decent amount of kick to it. I just think that it is lacking that knockout punch that its competitors have
  • The social metrics and competitor metrics are great, they just don#t have that zing to them. I think some GUI tweaks would move Web CEO onto the next level. It is a pity, as Web CEO is one step from greatness.
