Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
Dice's focus is too narrow and Indeed is not a great place to find technical talent. Indeed seems to have a lesser caliber of candidate. ZipRecruiter's resume database is quite weak, unless you're looking for less seasoned workers. LinkedIn has all professionals, not just …
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
LinkedIn Talent is in an entirely different league than ZipRecruiter. ZipRecruiter simply does not stack up in terms of finding the same high-level, professional talent. If you are sourcing for lower-level positions, Zip will probably give you a bigger candidate pool to fish …
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
Tried ZipRecruiter and hated it. All of that exposure just provided a ton of terrible candidates we had to sort through. LinkedIn is where professionals live so applicants have been much stronger. We also use Indeed but TrustRadius does not have the option. We use it in …
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
I personally enjoy Sponsored Jobs BUT it gives you a very wide range of applicants. Many of them are not qualified for the position you are recruiting for. I would prefer quality of quantity when it comes to my hard to fill positions.
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
Indeed will get you more applicants. LinkedIn typically gets higher quality. Easier to find and engage quality people.
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
Glassdoor, for a period of time, appeared to be an industry giant that was potentially going to be a large disruptor for companies looking for applicants, but ultimately the quality of the leads and overall poor interface did not make it worthwhile for our company. LinkedIn …
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
We actually use all 3 recruiters. LinkedIn fills in the gap of making it very easy to find professionals for free. It's easy to communicate with the candidates right within the app. The only con with LinkedIn is that there are a lot of fake accounts and sometimes they will try …
Chose LinkedIn Talent Hub
All of these platforms have their pros and cons - none are perfect! I like the connectivity of LinkedIn Talent, and the exposure it brings. It is also fairly easy to use. However, we have chosen to utilize Workable more, as it has better integration options, a larger job board …

Chose ZipRecruiter
In the position I am in now, with the company size, ZR has by far provided the best results for the cost.
Chose ZipRecruiter
The two main competitors are LinkedIn and Indeed, both of which are superior to ZipRecruiter. All three are good and helpful systems, but at this time ZipRecruiter is not a platform that candidates are not as comfortable with or familiar with in comparison.
Chose ZipRecruiter
ZipRecruiter is less costly than LinkedIn plus you get the candidate's resume with their contact information immediately. You know that the candidate is interested as well, so scheduling for an interview is easier.
Chose ZipRecruiter
I believe ZipRecruiter pales in comparison to competitors like LinkedIn and Indeed. You will not find any types of candidates on Zip that you cannot just as easily locate through the other platforms. Sure, you may find a few more individuals to add to your pipeline, but in my …

I really feel like [LinkedIn Talent Hub] has great potential to be used by many many companies. I think if it is made a little more user friendly with a little more development on the back end to remove some bugs, this could be a potential game changer. I have enjoyed working and getting to know this.

I mainly use ZipRecruiter through an Applicant Tracking System. When used this way for our company, it simply widens the net in terms of applicants that we receive. Generally speaking, with ZipRecruiter, we receive qualified applicants, just not as many as we do using Indeed, for example.

Pros
LinkedIn
  • Source of talent - LinkedIn has become the #1 place to engage talent.
  • Targeting / advertising / sponsoring employment ads are very effective. They are costly, but effective.
  • Connecting with talent via InMails and ability to send InMails to a pretty targeted audience with ease is great. This allows you to reach out/connect fast with people that "fit" what you are looking for. Other sites for recruiting, etc. are hit and miss. The quality of results is the strongest on LinkedIn and has been for many, many years.

ZipRecruiter
  • They notify us when there are new candidates that match our requirements
  • They give us the links of the candidates online networks, so it's all right in front of us
  • They have a great messages center, that makes it easy for me to access and reference when needed.

Cons
LinkedIn
  • Reporting. Major lacking here. If a job is closed then reopened (which that feature was recently removed), all reporting is wiped clean and picked back up with the "reopen" date. So it doesn't give a full history of the job activity.
  • Lacks adequate approvals in the system.
  • If you're a company with a risk of audits, I would not recommend Talent Hub. They lack compliance: the system allows us to "hire" someone who never applied to the job. Req history could be incomplete with the way reporting functions are set up. The system puts passive "sourced" candidates and applicants in the same bucket for pipeline workflows. Disposition status is inadequate and greatly lacking, etc.
  • Dashboard is not customizable.
  • We do not have our own unique req IDs. The system generates project IDs but these numbers are shared with all their clients, they're not unique to Ora so they are somewhat random and not in order.
  • They do not differentiate between a networking project and an approved requisition.
  • There's more, too many to list.

  • Better electronic screening of applicants prior to allowing them to apply for a job (i.e. when licenses are required)
  • When cancelling they require that you call them on the phone (you can't cancel online)
  • I'd prefer that subscriptions were more targeted to my hiring needs

LinkedIn
Although we never experienced any issues with the LinkedIn Talent platform or required any support, we always knew in the event that we did need assistance, it was readily available. LinkedIn as a whole is always very supportive and responsive whenever I've had any issues or even a simple question in the past. I'm sure anyone experiencing difficulties with the platform would have a resolution from the support team just about instantly.

Have not had to utilize support recently, but in past instances they have reached out within 12 hours to help rectify any problems or answer any questions about features and functionality. The only issue I ever had with them was trying to clarify, when they previously advertised that they posted on 200+ job boards, if that meant that your job would for sure be posted on each job board. Turns out, by the way, that they only guarantee distribution, not posting

It's definitely better than other competitors because of one a better pool of candidates, who are well categorised and filtered, and the database is well updated. Also, it has a better UI with end to end hiring requirement management, that helps to make hiring faster and smarter. The UX though is a bit laggy, which can be improved

ZipRecruiter is inferior when it comes to comparing it to Indeed. I use both because I want more platforms to advertise my job. However, I find myself obtaining more applicants from Indeed over ZipRecruiter. I don't count ZipRecruiter out, though, because every once in a while, you can find a gem in a haystack.

  • Positive impact. The tool has helped us in finding quality candidates for our hard to fill positions!
  • Helps in “pipelining” even after we fill a position, we make a folder of prospective candidates that we find through the platform. This list is then revisited once we have additional positions!
  • Outreach to global candidates. We have an office in Spain and we have found so many qualified candidates on the platform to fill those positions!

  • ZipRecruiter helped us to reaching our hiring goals for 2018. We have been able to source, exempt and non-exempt candidates, in a timely fashion for our roles in the NY Metro area.
  • From a cost perspective, ZipRecruiter is more affordable than others that we have used in the past. In the end the results speak for themselves and we have had better success with Zip than other job boards we have used in the past.
