Defining a target market and honing in on specific campaigns is what 6sense does best. Segmentation functions could be more customizable/functional.

Within our organization, 6sense is central to our Marketing ecosystem and efforts! We were struggling to target our campaigns to our ICP (Ideal Client Profile) and maximize our marketing dollars - 6sense has helped us build particular segments of our target accounts and then deliver customized campaigns/messages to them. Additionally, we can run our LinkedIn campaigns through 6sense, which allows us to use Retargeting. If we see an account actively engage with our 6sense ads, we can retarget them on LinkedIn. 6sense has also enabled us to track our customer journey, allowing us in Marketing to deliver the right message at the right time. Not to mention, we can provide our BDRs/Sellers with so much more intent data when it comes time for them to take over outreach - Our accounts that get shared with Sales are higher quality and more likely to close. Sellers are likelier to invest time and energy with 6sense because it gives them many clues about the buying committee, search activity, and website engagement. Our sellers get a peek behind the curtain at these accounts, making their first touchpoint so much more impactful. From top to bottom, 6sense has taken our sales and marketing efforts to the next level.

  • Deliver specific ad campaigns and messaging to target accounts at the right time in their journey.
  • It lets us see the customer journey from the top to the bottom of the funnel.
  • Report on what assets, campaigns, and website pages have the most traffic (what assets/topics mean the most to our target audience).

  • They are helping sellers discover the WHO behind accounts to engage with the buying committee more efficiently.
  • Enable sellers with more AI to write prospecting messages to target accounts.
  • Allow Marketers to run campaigns on additional channels through the platform.
6sense is a great fit for organizations with multiple branches and target audiences to reach - Large organizations with multiple target accounts/different ICPs that they need to reach with a unique message. Our organization delivers different products/services for different organizations based on size and industry - Within 6sense, we're able to reach all of these unique segments with the right ads/messages that we have to share with them. Smaller organizations with one specific target audience do not necessarily need such a robust platform because there is a learning curve associated with an ABM approach. Smaller organizations can run campaigns through more traditional means/channels, rather than adopting a whole new platform and marketing/sales approach.

We use 6sense (like most) to identify the 'who' and 'when' at accounts in our Target Account List. It helps our Sales and Marketing team be more efficient and to have complete clarity in which accounts, which people, what timing. We use 6sense across a buyer journey and is well loved and utilized by our AE's, SDR's and Marketing Teams.

  • Provide the deepest transparency in accounts
  • Help create TAL Segments
Cons
  • Integration via Outreach is great - but we need more folks at 6sense who can train/coach sellers on how to use it.
  • 6sense dashboard can be overwhelming for leadership or newbies, a watered down version would be helpful for those who are not frequently in the weeds
In my opinion, if your team has been doing some facet of ABM before onboarding 6sense, it'll help you reach new heights in your strategy. However - if you have a team/person in place to train and strategize weekly and own 6sense internally. It's a focused and targeted tool, and needs someone equipped to dedicate the time to trickle down data at least weekly.

We use 6sense to understand prospect data and to launch ABM campaigns. It solves the issue of finding prospect data elsewhere. Whether it's accurate is yet to be seen.
  • The filters work really well and are pretty intuitive.
  • It's easy to create segments.
Cons
  • The billing system for ads is absurd. They're too controlling with the minutia of ad spend.
  • The ad system is also not intuitive and incredibly clunky as a result.
  • I really hate their ad system.
If you need prospect data you can't get anywhere else, 6sense would work for you. If you need good A/B testing for ads, 6sense will not work for you. Their ad system is horrible.

6sense is used across our organization, but mainly with marketing and sales. It's providing insights that were previously not visible to our teams, allowing us to be more efficient with our time.
  • Support team is fantastic to work with.
  • Platform is easy to use.
Cons
  • Harder to use without the predictive component/functionality.
Perfect for companies with limited resources trying to make their outreach as efficient as possible.
