We use the 8x8 platform for our small to mid-size customers. The portal is easy to manage and the apps work tremendously. I have installed dozens of 8x8 solutions and our customers love it.

  • Caller ID issue. If you delete a call group or an AA that has the main number as the programmed number and that is the user's caller ID number, the caller ID under the user settings gets erased.
  • Cannot forward call recordings from the portal. You need to download it and then forward via email.
8x8 will cover all of your telephony needs. If you are programming the system yourself and need tech support, it's a bit slow getting a response.

We chose 8x8 X Series because of its ease of use, scalability, and customer service/training. Since I have been employed at Wagner, 8x8 X Series has always been reliable. We have had very little to no internal service ticket reports for 8x8 X Series. On the few occasions that we have had issues, we were able to identify and address the issue with ease using documented solutions on the 8x8 X Series support console or via the robust customer support team that have on a few occasions gone above and beyond to address our needs. Wagner primarily uses the VoIP system with conference calling and video meetings, messaging, and most importantly the flexibility to work on desktop and cell phone.

We currently use 8x8 X for phones and fax. Never had any issues. They are great at sending updates. So much easier not having a fax machine. We fax to the IRS constantly. I would highly recommend the 8x8 X over any Voice Over IP products on the market. Will definitely renew this service.

We have 8x8 X Series X2 licenses, with both headsets and physical phones. We needed a new phone system to replace our very old Shortel PBX, along with 2 Panasonic systems at our remote sites. We went wanted an all in one cloud solution, that could work with Microsoft Teams.8x8 X Series fit that bill.

This plays a big part in our organization -it is the way we communicate internally and externally with our customer and employees.<br>We work hard on touching base with our customer. One of the most important assets is touching base with our customer and we use this tool to complete that task. It plays a big part in our day to day.

It's used by managing partners, attorneys, and staff alike. It generally offers more flexibility and customizability, as well as a broader range of use cases, than a standard phone system.

We always wanted an application that we could leverage into our SSO log in and 8x8 even before has enabled us to remove the need to enter our password every now and then. Another compliment tp 8x8 is the ease of calls, monitoring, ability to create forms and enhance reporting capabilities. Most of our client facing campaigns use 8x8 as our recommended telephony platform. I appreciate the improvements made on voicemails as well as upgrades as it made it easier for us to communicate and make calls via 8x8 without the sudden disconnection.

We are a reseller and getting onboarded to offer this outstanding solution to customers. We chose 8x8 X Series because it offers an all-inclusive communications solution for customers. There are too many choices in this industry that really do not fit. But, 8x8 X Series is on point with Video, Audio, and collaboration that make a difference to any business.

In contrast, 8x8 X Series makes a conscious effort via webinars and calls to check on the customer well being and ensure benefits. 8x8 does not take customers and resellers for granted. The staff understands the purpose of the 8x8 X Series and how to transform organizations in terms of communication, collaboration, and cohesion.

8x8 X Series is our office phone for in-office and remote workers. We mainly utilize the call and message feature as well as employee chats. One of the problems solved with this product is that we have a searchable log for chats and this has been very helpful when needing to reference a past discussion. Also, our receptionist is able to do call backs or text to customers who called but did not leave a message when getting our voicemail.

The mobile app works simultaneously in the background of my mobile phone, allowing me to keep personal and work calls and texts separate. I can even set business hours on the mobile app.

We were looking for a VoIP system for our new company.

It started off as a great partnership but recently became a nightmare. Firstly - our call log history disappeared and it took them 4 DAYS to fix that, in the meanwhile, we couldn’t even see the calls we might have missed during that time. Support was just terrible - unresponsive, unprofessional with terrible English. They finally managed to fix that and I was almost certain to switch to another company, but they promised me that it is the last time something like this happens. Fast forward to today - we have been unable to send out any texts for a majority of our extensions since Thursday last week. It is Tuesday today and the issue is still there — even though they told me two or three times that it was fixed. As I am writing this review I have been listening to their TERRIBLE on-hold melody for 39 minutes while they are supposedly transferring me to “a senior tech” — whatever it means. We are now on the sixth day of waiting, yesterday lost $1500+ of revenue because of this, and who knows how much more we are going to lose because of this terrible company. We will be porting out our numbers and leaving 8x8 for good as soon as humanly possible and I will probably be putting a case together with my attorney to sue them for lost profits.

I use 8x8 X Series to make and receive calls all day long, and for text messaging - which is super easy to do on the computer using the 8x8 X Series desktop app. I record calls frequently so I can review the call and hone my notes when I am taking job specs.

I use 8x8 to make phone calls and to take incoming calls from new customers and current customers. I also use the texting function as well. This helps save me money from having someone on the phone all day I can use it on the go while working. I also use it to separate my personal phone calls from my business phone calls.

  • 8x8 is good at communicating and sending me emails whenever there is a new service on the program that is available.
  • 8x8 is a little difficult to set up my voicemail. Even after recording a voicemail it still doesn’t play when someone tries to leave me a voice mail.
  • Sometimes the connectivity or service is not good in some of the areas I work in.
  • When people try to leave a voicemail instead of it saying what number they are calling it reads the extension instead and I had some trouble trying to figure it out. But I figured it out and it’s great now.
8x8 x series is great for a small business like mine where instead of hiring someone to be on the phone all day I can take it with me and use it on the go and it saves me a lot of money. 8x8 X Series is also great to use with your personal phone using the app and helps differentiate personal incoming calls from business calls. I highly recommend this service.

We have multiple locations (4) throughout the country, including Hawaii. One of the most used features is the ability to dial anyone at any of these locations via a single extension. That cut long-distance phone bills to almost zero. The desktop and mobile app provide a seamless way for salespeople and at home workers to stay connected with colleagues and customers.

  • When I delete a voicemail, I'd like to see a popup that gives me the option to delete the incoming phone number simultaneously instead of having to hop between "Calls" and "Voicemail".
  • When setting up new users and inviting them to download and install the desktop app, it would be nice if the invite could come from my company email rather than having to warn the new user to be on the lookout for an email from 8x8. I always have to send an email reminder to the new user who may have deleted the email from 8x8 because they didn't recognize it. This adds extra steps as an admin to the process.
The 8x8 X Series offers a full suite of options completely bundled and available to a company. Whether a very small company or large corporation, the tools are there, and scalable to suite your needs as you grow. The greatest thing about this is that 8x8 doesn't nickel and dime for every feature. You might not use more than a few (i.e. video, chat, phones, conference calls, private chat rooms) or you might need more details about the organization with analytics, reports, or if you're a larger organization which has a receptionist who needs the dashboard to route and park calls, it's all available. The pricing is predictable, no surprises. Their knowledge base is extensive and straightforward and their customer service is outstanding.

The majority of use the phone set (VVX450) and our remote workers use the 8x8 X Series app. The app allows our remote workers with the capability to retrieve voice mail while away from the desk. They can also communicate just like being at their office.

We moved from another company to 8x8 after someone introduced it. First, we had trouble with our previous phone company, which delayed us from porting the numbers over, and 8x8 was trying its best to help to do the porting as fast as they could. since then, we never had any problem with their service, no downtime, the extra functions which all can be controlled thru their portal web, and we were able to set up Xmas greetings and away greetings. there are still more functions we could use!! the ring group helped to solve our problem on who was answering the call, which was a great help and minimized all the phone ringing at once.

We use 8X8 as our main phone system daily for dual-site law practice. We also use the fax service and occasionally use the video conferencing function.
  • The voice telephone service works seamlessly even though we have dual offices.
  • The system allows our employees to work from home and continue to be connected to the phone system.
  • The fax service has a dedicated fax number that is dependable and easy to use.
  • The video conferencing functions are a little cumbersome and it is much easier for a client to use Zoom.
  • Where the client needs a secure video conference, then 8X8 is the best option.
I think that the 8X8 voice system is adaptable enough to be used in all scenarios. The video conferencing service is better for use where you do the conferencing in-house. The video conferencing functions are a little more complicated to use than Zoom.

Since switching over to 8x8 from Broadview 8x8 is one of the best products I have used. Easy to learn and train people on. You can do everything within one. Support from 8x8 has also been great and responsive. They are prompt in getting back to us when support is needed. Most of the folks in our organization love the product.

Before 8x8, scheduling a meeting you would have to click on a link, type in a bunch of numbers, and go through a vendor for face to face, now with 8x8 it's a one-click solution and everything is at your fingertips. When trying to reach someone in the company quickly, in the past we had to call them, with the texting feature, you can text them a quick message and they can get back to you just as quickly

We used to use 8x8 X Series to assist our clients with live phone call interactions, emails, and all other notifications that there is something that we need to assist with. Currently, we are only using 8x8 to log into our Cisco AnyConnect phone system and for email and onboarding notifications. The biggest setback to 8x8 X Series, in my opinion, is that there are a lot of updates and this can cause work interruptions needing to restart, etc.

Due to covid, 2 hurricanes, and an ice storm we needed to work remotely and 8x8 X Series was a lifesaver for both the Clients and the Candidates. It truly makes the communication flow effortlessly when we are in the office. In addition, they keep adding additional products to the system which keeps them current in today's workforce.
